The hype is strong with the PS4 so I think it might just pull off an insane start, I wouldn't call 1 Million first week in two regions impossible. I'm alo kind of wishing it will do that numbers, because then all this "consoles are dead" bullshit would stop in an instant.
I will stay by my prediction for 1 Million in all regions though. In the end, I don't think Sony can even produce 1 Million units for the first week in two regions. Building a console is a little bit more complicated than tapping an iphone together. There will be supply problems without a doubt.

In January I expect sales of 200.000 a week minimum with at least 1 major title releasing every month. I just hope Sony has learned from the vita launch. If Sony plays their cards right, the PS4 can very well dominate the console market once again and step into the footprints of the PS2.

Destiny. Not to mention that aren't ms working on 5 exclusives with their own studios? They'll be a Halo. Probably a Halo 1,2 and 3 "ultra" hd version.

If it launches at $399

It will be a very "smooth" launch

In Japan i expect the PS4 to open with with numbers a lot higher than PS3 but a small bit lower than what the Wii U sold but i think the PS4 numbers CAN settle at a decent level

I'm expecting the PS4 to open with 200-250k in japan but the sales will stay at a decent level after the launch period

The software will sell a lot better in Japan aswell



The PS3 opened at 80k and the Wii U opened at 300k in japan if anybody wanted a comparison

Free online play, store and app access, party chat, and sharing, but you must have PS+ to get streaming, spectating, and game take over functionality (obviously they'll still give stuff away especially on it especially once they get the PS1-3 streaming up).

Killzone will be the game everyone shows it off with and uses all the social stuff for. The game will explode and have 5+ million sales lifetime (Resistance got 4m and it was a new IP mostly because it launched with PS3 and if not for the second game would've been a top tier franchise sales wise for Sony)

My Predictions...

• $399-429 Price Point. This will allow Sony to be competitive. I'm pretty sure they don't want to be anywher near 600, but not as cheap as WiiU. They might possibly subsidize the price like the rumors say.
• Launching sometime  between August and October. Sony will have a lead, even if its just a month or so. There is definitely a reason they announced early. They would have done the same with the Vita if not for the huge setbacks from the Tsunami/Earthquake.
• Launch Games: Killzone Shadow Fall, inFamous Second Son, The Witness, Deep Down, GTAV, Knack, The Last Guardian. Tish covers all the genres almost; FPS, 3rd Person Action, Puzzle, RPG, Platformer, Adventure, Sandbox.
• Somekind of Subscription Incentive, like something for PS+. A free game, first to try some of the new services, etc.
• Projected Sales for the End of the Year: 5-8million by fiscal end.

Based on the console's specifications so far it is reasonably presumable to speculate a price point of 500 and up

it would be big if sony could launch it worldwide this year. they've said they aint sure if its releasing in europe this year or not. atleast theres still a chance it could.
