The only way the 720 could be any noticeably more powerful is if it was more expensive. Surely if they put in 12GB of DDR5 Ram, that's bound to bring the price up to the $500 to $600 price range. Now they could decided to take a loss on each console sold, but would they really be willing to take a significant loss on each one after what happened with rlod? Then you've got the fact that they still also have to become synonymous with more than Halo and Gears to really catch on worldwide to avoid a repeat of this gen.



What was the repeat of this gen?  Selling, 3x the amount as last and still selling. Getting a big portion of sony's exclusive's to come on over to 360. Making a sh-t ton of cash and lets not forget that they have been building up studio's. As I see it, they have positioned themselfs great for the next generation. If they have as much success in how much they progressed. Next gen is going to blow up for them.

I agree they need more first party support but to avoid the level of success and progress is putting your head in the sand

Yeah, doing all that and at the end of the day still being beaten by the Playstation 3.  And there's really no reason to suspect that xbox will blow up next gen because they don't have the momentum on their side now or they'd be winning the console race each and every week, but they're not coming out on top each and every every week these days in the dedicated console market are they?  Somebody else is.



You have no clue what your talking about.... . .  LOL. You think PS3 Share holders only care about the units moved, They also care about the profits made off of each unit moved. Which in this case, ps3 has lost a massive amount of money and massive amount of their market share.

Your argument is so , that you only care about who wins. Not the cost to sony and their business. They have another gen like this and it will be over. Lets also not forget if MS has progress like this gen, they will be on top and shitting out money. PS3 Lost 5 billion dollars but all you can talk about is something that hasn't even happened yet. You don't think the anouncement of the PS4 is going to gimp sales of the ps3. PS3 has not passed MS and MS's profit margin on each system sold, is way more then that of PS3. Looks like somebody had a meltdown.  Can't wait to see what your reaction will be when "The Last of Us" comes out this Summer and the PS3 passes the 360.

It was announced today that the 360's lead is down to just 1.3 Million.  It will be under a million in a few short weeks.  That's what happens when people only want your console in one territory.

Doesn't matter, if they don't present games i will not care. Many others won't either, really the only reason 360 is still selling better in the USA is like another guy put it, thats the console American gamers friends have, so obviously the COD crowd and the like shift to the console first. Because it sure as hell isn't for the games. Once that portion tilts, it will be back in Sony's favor. One things for certain next generation will be interesting. Lets see if the Xbox live American "dude bro" crowd can transition to the the Next Xbox or jump ship to the PS4.

ms will not up the ram,for what? they already have 8GB,and their gpu/bandwidth situation cant even take advantage of that,hence the reason for the massive o.s... they wont add on to the gpu because now you wil need a silicon change,and thats massive... and if they went that far and got a new gpu/silicon change, their gonna need more bandwidth to take advantage of the new gpu,wich means a new bit-bus or overclocking,wich means more cooling ect,its all more $$$$$. they might have to take out their yoga maching(kinect2) to keep price down.

It is rumored that the new Xbox OS will reserve 3 gab of memory. Reserving that much memory means that the new Xbox will be using Win 8 kernel and also will have the benefits of a true multi task OS. You can believe that the next system from MS will be able to switched between multiple open applications. Think more of the lines of android or Windows phone.
