Likely to discuss what Sony did and plan out their own event, likely to show up in April in response.

I think you drastically overestimate Sony's importance in the grand scheme of things. Microsoft has real rivals, and Sony just isn't one of them. It doesn't come anywhere fucking close to being any kind of real threat to Microsoft. I can only conclude that you are confused as to what Sony is all about these days. Sony's core business seems to involve them losing their investors money. They are doing really well with this business model of theirs. They haven't shown a profit in five years.

What do you think it was easy for them to lose all that money last quarter while up against a holiday season that was really a improvement over the previous holiday season, and with a chaser of improved exchanged rights. I will tell you this it takes a incredible amount of fail to ensure that the cluster fuck still arrives on time. Yeah I can totally see Microsoft getting scared by a company that is all of two years away from bankruptcy and liquidation.

I bet by now I have you fuming or foaming whatever the case may be, and I think you needed a little dose of that to bring you to your senses. Seriously the frenzy is winding down, and while I appreciate why you might want to ride that rush you felt. It isn't the reality of the situation, and continuing to do so is going to take you somewhere that at the end of the day you aren't going to like one bit. Keep egging people on, and you are not just guaranteed a fight, but a pretty ugly one for you.

You seem to have forgotten in your passionate zeal for all things Sony. That Sony also lays claim to most of the very public failures of last generation. Frankly the other side in this little pretend war holds more ammunition then you do, and if history is any indication. Sony fans have a pretty thin skin when it comes to hearing things they don't want to hear about anymore. I am just pointing out that by trying to twist the meaning of this corporate meeting to serve your own twisted little purposes. You are pouring fuel on a fire, and you better be willing to live with the very real consequences if it blows up in your face.

I really wonder if you actually thought that anyone would buy into your reasoning, or it would accomplish anything at all. Other then to try to antagonize other posters. The purpose of the meeting is in the fucking name. It is a annual meeting for management, and it happens every year for most big companies. It isn't cooked up in a couple weeks. It is planned months in advance. So they can give advanced notice to those that will attend to book their flights, and their hotel rooms. Oh my god this little meeting isn't happening at a hotel is it.

Talk about a desperate plee....

I'm sorry if i hit a nerve with you, and from the looks of it a very sensitive one. I'm not here to talk about profits and rivalry between the different companies, this is vgchartz and not business.com.

I am simply giving my thoughts about the article you see here, if you can't deal with it, just DON'T READ my post. Simple as that.

@Somini

No what you are trying to do is make a mountain out of a mote of sand. Yes even on these forums there comes a point where something cannot be twisted or spun to serve your purposes. You are less giving a opinion then trying your damnedest to fabricate a story. Making shit out of nothing. My point being that if you shed all the decorum of having rational discussion. In favor of mindless chest thumping attacks.

You are only inviting that behavior from other camps, and while they may put up with it for a day or two. They aren't going to put up with that nonsense indefinitely. Eventually they are going to take you up on your invitation, and they will actually hit you back. The difference being that you are trying to twist irrelevant into weapons. While they actually have a laundry list of idiotic commentary from Sony's management, and a laundry list of very public, very egregious failures on the part of Sony.

I really don't understand what has gotten into Sony fans as of late. Nintendo having a bad month. Sony having a press event. These things didn't just suddenly wipe the slate clean. Sony is fucking painted in throbbing weak spots. Why invite all of these attacks. Especially when as a group they can't even handle the fluff that usually gets tossed their way.

Again, take it easy and just calm down with the swearing!

It must be nice real nice where you live, up there in tralala land. No one is talking about Sony and Nintendo in this thread besides you. For your own sake, take my advise and IGNORE my post. I fear you could have a heartattack if you go on seeing 'enemies' everywhere like this.

They must feel they need to react fast to the PS4 announcement.

Why change their plans so rashly?  The longer they wait, the more anticipation they will build, leading to more interest.  I think they should do exactly what they've planned to do all along.  Announce when they feel like it.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

Clear to everyone now? Not rushed. You don't create an event like this based on a announcement from a competitor based on a single product line

Now you understand why he ignore you

A event like that doesn't get made in 4 days, especially not if you're inviting a lot of high profile guys at MS to discuss all of your products future and not just the xbox'

Exactly, inviting Microsoft employees to discuss, showcase and brief on Microsoft products, that quite frankly are massive (Windows, Office) compared to Xbox/Playstation just isn't a reaction to a console showing.

I bet its just for workers no media allowed.
