Congratulations. Enjoy your new system! I'm leaning towards purchasing a PS3 at some point this year as well. I am currently breaking down pros and cons of each system and games I want on each system.

Are you sure the PS3 can handle a gaming beast like yoursel, Naznatipz? Don't screw up and buy the wrong console.

haha hopefully.  The reason I'm leaning towards PS3 is my gaming PC sort of took away most of the 360's appeal...  I mean most of the 360's best games are either FPS games like Halo which I wouldn't enjoy anyway (since I play them on PCs instead), or games that are on PC already or will be soon (Mass Effect).  What I'm kinda waiting for is a few more JRPG announcements so I can decide, but most of those of late have been on the Wii or DS...

Congratulations!

I suggest you get Uncharted and CoD4 or Resistance (I prefer Resistance but CoD4 is equally awesome)

Also don't buy a second controller, wait for the DS3, should come out in February or order one from YesAsia.com

Thanks a bunch!... I'll definitely wait for DS3 then ^^!

I'll just get CoD4 and The Orange Box in the mean time... (Btw: Does any of those have offline multiplayer support?! Or offline Co-op...?!)

I don't think either of them have offline co-op or multiplayer, atleast no bots anyways.

:'(... What happened to the good old splitscreen multiplayer days?! :P...

I'm hoping for Haze or Timesplitters 4 to revive just that!

Same here, CoD has offline multiplayer, but its only upto 4 player, no co-op, anyway, online is insane.

Do any games now have offline bots??

Hey, Munkeh I'm catching you on the old KDR (although we're both doing pretty terribly).

And, contratulations on your choice, I can see you've already got or are getting some of the finest of which the PS3 has to offer, and you're on a tight budget, I won't reccommend any games to you.

Oh, and about the online. If you can't get on WiFi, there's always an unsecure network floating around somewhere (not that I mooch off connections myself, but I have access to two unsecured networks - could come in handy during May when I switch ISPs and could be offline for a few days ;) ).

UT3 has bots. Resistance has co-op and offline multiplayer.

Congrats. Now buy Uncharted. :P

Ghehe!... No kiddin'! For real, i got one!

I got Assasins Creed with it. (Got the 40Gb version).

And since i own only Nintendo consoles, i think it is newsworthy!

The thing that pushed me over the edge was that some company went Blu-Ray exclusive (making it 5:2 Blu-ray vs Hd-dvd)... And PS3 comes with a Blu-ray player, so i thought: I'll get it!

Im gonna get CoD4 and The Orange box with an HDMI-cable and a 2nd controller on Monday. (Now i only have AC which im really enjoying!...)

And then im getting MGS4, Haze, RFoM2 etc... !!!

Now i have a Wii and a Ps3 ... The best of 2 worlds!!! Including the next-gen videoformat!!!

I'm happy ...

Congrats! I'm sure you'll love it. Keep us posted! And don't forget FFXIII! But that's probably quite awhile off yet!

In addition to the games you already named, I'd pick up Uncharted & Ratchet & Clank...Heavenly Sword is great, but you can just rent it for a weekend.

And my favorite game!  Rock Band!  Expensive, but amazing.

Dont foget to fill out your rebate form for 5 free Blu-ray movies.

food will taste better, your vision will be more vivid, your choices in life all the clearer now that you have a PS3.

You enjoy it, it would be hard not to.

Uncharted is the #1 exclusive PS3 game IMO
ratchet and clank, resistance, motorstorm, heavenly sword are all great as well.
But the real great ones are coming this year, as i am sure you already know.

And yeah... COD4 will eat your life away online if you are not careful.
You need to get wireless internet at your house- just buy a wireless router and you're good to go!

Is that not exclusive for SCEA?

Pixel Junk Monster, FlOw, Everyday Shooter, and Loco Roco Correcho are all phenomenal PSN titles. You should check out some of them.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
