I didn't take that bet because I thought his points were unrealistic. I took the bet because I believed he had no actual way of knowing those things.

Someone else pointed out a while back that he also predicted $250 for the Wii U, meaning you can realistically add $100 to each to get what we will likely end up with.

$500 for the Xbone does seem ridculously high, especially considering the lower all around specs and cheaper lower end ram should do more than account for the (in theory) more expensive camera peripheral, but what do I know. I was expecting it to be $50 to even $100 cheaper than the PS4, but the $500 number DOES tie into an earlier rumour of $500 for no sub plan, and $300 for a 2 year LIVE sub plan (rumored to be nixed for the time being) pretty neatly.

Could that former xbox exclusive you were talking about possibly be The Witcher 3? It seems possible seeing how cdpr HATES DRM and they got early access to the ps4 console so maybe they are giving ms the finger and going exclusive to ps4?

Except Witcher made it's name on PC.  Plus I believe the Witcher 3 was already announced for PS4.  I say Gears.
