you are 100% right.

that's why we all are still gaming with SNES and Genesis

and the great nintendo Wii U  innovation is 2d mario ,some shovelware and people desperately waiting for new and innovative wind waker hd and yet another 3d mario.

Leave it to social media and NOT gaming forums to get the real insight to the average gamer. We forum dwellers just live in our own bubble, which explains things like how actual sales =/ hype for example. 

Indeed, on this forum you'd think that the Vits was the best selling console ever made and that Ni No Kuni were selling millions, for example.

Don't forget that the streets are filled with people carrying pitchforks and torches screaming for xenobade chronicles to be in stock.

I can barely get milk a quick twip its so scary out there in the real world with those video game mobs everywhere.

I'm glad Sony announced a seamless OS & 'less loading time' approach for the PS4; because it appears the majority of people these days do not have any patience whatsoever.

And on this forum, you'd think people actually care about the Wii U, but reality is harsher than the ideas of enthusiasts.

Exactly my point; the outside world is different to those found in these forums.

Nobody should realistically have expected the price or release date. Even the Gametrailers Preconference show with geoff keighly and those other two guys I see all the time but whos names escape me lol, said that kinda stuff is reserved for E3.

They showed the specs, games, new features, controller.

They didn't show the actual casing so that makes it a failed conference? No, people just want something to complain about.

People may be looking for something to complain about, but outside of our forum bubble that's exactly what's happening. The hype just isn't there from the mainstream press or on social networks currently; though obviously this will build closer to launch. I did expect it to be talked about more, though.
