Forums - Sony - A lot of ignorance today (Remote play and Eyetoy never existed)

It doesn't matter what other type of camera existed before the Eyetoy or the GC GBA connectivity. The idea behind Kinect is the same as Eyetoy, you don't have to tell me how much more advanced Kinect is, the idea and concept are the same. The motion peripherals of the 90s were novelties that never became a success. Eyetoy was the first to be successful and found an audience with the casuals.

Could you stream your GC game to your GBA like with the PS3 and Vita? No. Its funny how Nintendo fans claim Sony stole the idea from WiiU, neglecting the fact it was done way earlier.

Your double-standards are flaring. Could the Eyetoy perceive depth? NO.

I've seen some Nintendo and MS fans saying Sony copied the WiiU and Kinect, excuse me?

Sony already had Remote Play 6 years ago so in fact Nintendo copied this idea from Sony.

Sony already had Eyetoy 10 years ago, Microsoft copied Kinect idea from Sony.

Just ridicilous at what some people here claim.

why are you so offended like it was your invention..  thats the crazy part about it.  i own both and they just arent the same.  kinect and eye toy are apples and oranges just because they are both fruit dont make them equal.

a car and a motorbike get you to the same destination.. are they the same?

Get this: the Kinect could be 4D in 4K with 120fps, it still doesn't change the fact that the concept of that style of gaming originated from the Eyetoy. Even the games reflect this, minigames, fitnessgames have all existed on it.

I'm not sure if you could play the entire game on the GBA, but if you entered a building or a cave in Four Swords Adventures you indeed played on your GBA screen.

Thank you for stating the obvious, since the Kinect is a much later product, the technology behind it is way more advanced than the Eyetoy, however the concept is the same.

My God, I agree with you. And that's your double-standard, that though this in fact applies to the eye-toy, look at your reasoning against the GBA (IN BOLD)?

Do you think at all, like at all?

Do you get paid by sony for all the "insert word" stuff you write all the time?  Just curious

Maybe he gets paid by word? His Gears of War 3 Metacritic user review was well over 30 words and of course a 0 score.

I get paid as much as you for writing that nonsense.

So you waste time writing fanboy reviews for games on Metacritic and don't get a penny for it. That's even sadder :(

Funniest thing you have posted thus far in the thread. Paragraph 1 it's still "copying" because even though it's technically better and does more things, the "idea" is the same. Paragraph 2 it's not copying, because even though the "idea" is the same, it's technically better and does more things LOL. Who wants to guess which company is favored in these shifting goal posts?

Stop being so vague and get to the point, are you saying you could play GC games on the GBA?

No, I'm saying that your argument against the Kinect is the same as your argument against the Vita-PS4 connectivity (both in bold now).

It's called a double-standard.
