Thanks for this, added to OP cause my summary sucks.

Youkai Watch looked really nice, too. Is this another anime adaption? Looks a lot like Pokemon/Digimon.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Besides Layton, there's nothing for me. Bring Ace Attorney 5 or Vita will have all my money!

I don't think this will ever happen. Go buy a 3DS (if you don't have one yet) you cheapskate^^
Is it just me, or was this was a really underwhelming direct?
I mean the main highlight was basically some MH4 footage. Even the poll on NicoNico Douga was lower than normal approval.

Seems like a lame NDC... and it was naturally overshadowed by the Sony conference.

What do you refer to? And I do have a 3DS

(have had it for a while btw)
Just an overview highlighting the games. Maybe they didn't want to announce something right after the PS4 announcement. It's a decent lineup overall till May, with Luigi's Mansion and Tomodachi the big early guns. It will be interesting to see how the latter performs and whether it will emulate its predecessor.
MH4 I'm predicting will be early August just before the holidays with Pokemon in late September, early October. Talk about finishing the year on a high! I think this enough will hand over 2013 for the 3DS, but there should be more to come for the holidays *fingers crossed*
Question is did they show or announce anything that will warrant even higher sales compared to what was expected.
Tomodachi 3DS should be doing what we didn't understand with the first version. That's quite a big Japan game.
