I think we'll find less and less pc exclusives as a lot of indie developers push their games to PSN / PS4 as well.

I don't think so. I doubt many games, if all, are using the DirectX 11.1 enhancements. As I understand, it is mostly about Stereo 3D implementation and is supposed to clean up some stuff from DirectX 11.
DirectX 11.1 in Only available on Windows 8 and will not be coming to Windows 7. They have not locked the two up grade cycles together. So it will not be like when the Xbox came out on DX 9C and shortly DX 10 came out on the PC.
The next big enhancement in graphics from Microsoft will be DirectX 12. And that will not come out until Windows 9. Although I have heard some rumors and it seems the next Xbox OS will be closer to Windows 9 than 8. (Probably 64 bit only as one example, and the rumored Ray Tracing of DX 12.)
So I think you have about till 2015 when Windows 9 comes out before you will see a major graphics change.
