I'll put it this way. I was planning on getting Wii U for cheap this black friday and get PS4 about 6 months after launch. Now, I will likely get PS4 asap and get Wii U closer to when Smash Bros. and/or the new Zelda release.
Tonight felt like next gen and while I do like Nintendo's IPs the specs of the Wii U suggest it will not give me that 'feel'.
Plus, Sony obviously held back since the majority of their first party devs didn't reveal anything. So I suspect E3 will be the time we see what the PS4 can truly offer us in the early stage. And the third party support seems to be there in spades. I will first want to secure a system that has both first and third party support before getting the Wii U. Either way, both will suit my gaming needs and both Sony and Nintendo have served my needs well since the PS1/N64 gen
