Who would buy the inferior version, though? There's no way the Wii U can handle all that screen tearing.

The superior version doesn't guarantee better sales. I mean look at Bayonetta. The 360 version was clearly superior and the PS3 version out sold it.

That's the power of the CELL

The power of the Cell is crappy framerates and terrible load times? No wonder Sony dropped the archictecture like a hot potato.

Now, place your tongue firmly in your cheek, and read again :/

Big game. I'm not getting it on the U though, I'm getting sick of Nintendo honestly. They're stuck in the past.

I want to support Sony who actually care about going for inspiring the players' emotions.

Even if the sales suck at this point, I really don't care anymore. Nintendo are at that point where they need to fuck up real hard and understand what their competition is doing well, open their eyes and join. I will be waiting for that moment.

Now is the time where Nintendo needs a serious reality check. Sales isn't the be all end all of gaming, neither is gameplay.

In fewer words, I want them to lead the industry, but they're just not yet able to do it. Until then, I hope them much learning.

Did that gripping, emotional trailer for Killzone 4 hit you pretty hard? I'm not sure what your complaint is exactly. The game (Watch Dogs) is coming to the Wii U, so the console is set to have at least some of those experiences you mention. Just because you're growing tired of what the core of Nintendo offers doesn't mean they should change their ways to accomodate you. Go ahead and support Sony if that's where your current tastes lie, no one's stopping you.

OT: That's good news! I'm still on the fence about the game. Once I see more of it I'll decide whether I'll get it for Wii U or PC. As long as the Wii U version doesn't have noticeable graphical hiccups and contains some interesting gamepad features I don't see any reason not to get it for the system.

You just opened a dangerous can of worms.

Should be a good measurement for how Wii U can sync up to multiplat development with Sony and Microsoft's successors.

Not sure about that.  I feel Watchdogs may be pulled back a little to fit the PS3 and 360.  A game that's strictly next gen would be a better measuring stick.

Not planning on getting a PS4 at launch, so it's either PS3 or WiiU, so I'll pick it up for my WiiU.

Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)

Could be a big game as it seems like the type of game that would make excellent use of the gamepad.

Unless Sony or MS bow out of the console market, things will remaiin as it is.  Its all about $. Last time Ninty was on par in terms of power(GC), it didn't help them.  I admit, after rebuilding the nintendo name and reaping huge, obscene profits with Wii, I thought (hoped) Nintendo would take advantage and reinvest in power, to get that pure gamer back on top of the casuals.  Sadly, they didn't.  Nintendo should be more aggressive as far as their console being the one stop solution, but again it will play 2nd fiddle, if even that, to PS720.

What pisses me off most is how nintendo completely ignores the sports genre...software sales that exceeds 30-40 mil per yr.  I love my ninty ips, but I have to have the realest sports experience as well. so now, I'm forced to buy the competition to get my sports fix.  Since sony fans  annoy me to death, I'll probably buy another MS console (barf).

I don't think arrogant nintendo will ever "learn", but it will take one of sony/ms to bow out, where 3rd party becomes viable business again.
