Forums - Sony - Sony's Conference Was Actually Good? (We Need to Talk About This.)

Tagged games:

I thought the overall conference was good. The Killzone graphics were just retarded. The disappointment came from Square of course for making us wait even longer. All they had to do was drop the name. FF XV is coming or Versus is coming, look forward to more at E3.

Nope. New FF...E3.....Fuck you.

It was nothing but a big begging session to investors by Sony and game developers "Oh we REALLLLY need this system, because it can do so much. Please give us money!"

Notice how no final specs were announced?
Notice how no price was announced?
Notice how no release date was announced?
Notice how no hardware was shown?
Speakers talked that this software was running on prototype hardware.

This is PROOF that Sony is in deep trouble and requires investor support to even get the PS4 off the ground.

Kid go play your Nintendo and then go to sleep please.

REAL men play Pokemon.

Ok seriously though, I find the lack of JP games disappointing. All we saw was the Capcom game and that didn't even look Japanese. SE trolling as usual.

What happened with SquareEnix?

Damn, can I get a link to the damn conference, somebody!? I want to see for myself.

No idea, but good luck finding one.  Might be a little bit early yet.

That says the stream will be repeating, but doesn't say when.

P.S. I haven't watched them myself, but this guy seems to have uploaded the full conference in 18 parts:

inFamous Second Son and Deep Down aren't shooters -.-

Nor Knack; Watch Dogs; The Witness; Diablo 3 etc.

In fact, the majority of the conference had no shooting at all.  Apart from sandwiching the start with Killzone & end with Destiny, it was a pretty shooter-free presentation.

Some of the people trying to downplay the conference are really funny. They aren't even PlayStation fans so they could care less. Nothing Sony does will make them happy.

On the Official Stream Sony said they would be looping this glorious conference.

The ps4 will be fine, the WiiU on the other hand.......

I really didn't see anything that could fair badly for Nintendo. Sure they have the weakest console, but this we knew for months. It still scalable so they will see better multi support, but not everything.

Yeah, as far as the PS4 graphics go, they look great, don't get me wrong. But basically confirmed what I suspected, that the graphics, while still a significant leap from Wii U, seems to be a much less noticable gap this time around compared to Wii vs PS3. Aside from some pretty complex looking dust and particle effects and detailed specularity, I didn't see in game footage in that presentation that I felt even the PS3 couldn't handle, let alone the Wii U.

So I have a feeling games will be easier to port to Wii U this time. Now whether or not that actually translates to better third party support for Nintendo, that is doubtful. But cross platform should at least be a more viable option this time than last gen.

epic said ps4 is huge leap over ps3 concerning graphics

Was SE trolling or giving us a glimpse of the future? I'm still battling with myself which one I think is the truth.

The WiiU was built with Nintendo's own assets. Sony is flat broke. If Nintendo want to make a console that doesn't sell out of their own money, nobody is stopping them.

By the way, I love your reasoning of "Well at least we're better than the other guy" when it comes to disappointing reviews, because the conference couldn't meet the standards of hype that the fans propelled it to be. Bravo!

You really know nothing at all about how financials and the market works and you keep going own talking the same thing like a broken record, do you?

By the way, Sony has twice as much cash in bank as Nintendo. And the company is worth a tenth of what it was worth back in 2007 and seems like falling back to their old despair mode now, as they did on the Gamecube era. Have fun enjoying that...

I know enough to know the difference between a presentation and a market pitch, which you seem to have let fly right over your head.

Twice as much cash in the bank for a company...how many times big? This is operating revenue across all streams, including their failing TV department. Sony dare not use that as their only reliable source of income, and you know it.

Once again, back to the old "well you should see the other guy" argument....the Gamecube never operated on a loss...
