Not a big fan of the MGS games. I like the first one best.

That was said about the xbox 360, that everyone with a 360 had halo 3, but it sold millions of consoles didnt it?

Of all of the statements in this thread, this one made me laugh. I mean, come on; of all the classically-trained actors who have appeared in games, some guy whose sole voice seems to be "Gritty Military Operatives Guy" is the "best voice actor ever"? Give me a break.
Anyway, I predict MGS4 will sell more like MGS:PO than MGS3. Metal Gear Solid just seems to be one of those franchises that hasn't aged well in terms of sales.

Actually, everyone in my town who wanted halo 3 already had a 360. I'm not sure about anywhere else.

Rightly so, I enjoy Hideo Kojima's games and I like the quality he puts into them.
cos it'll be a fuckin good game... it's one of the few games that deserves it's hype these days...

MGS3 did not sell all that great, either... it seems that EVERY game has become the PS3's savior... I think that title is reserved for FF13 and GT5...
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
mgs4 is going to appeal to the japanese, american and europe market.
it has snake which appeals to all markets.
this game will do well in all regions. it will increase ps3 sales significantly.
those that say it will not, that is straight bull. everyone thought that whoever wanted halo 3 already owned a xbox 360. well they were wrong considering xbox 360 sales went up greatly over those past couple of weeks.
mgs4 will do the same. doubters should stop hating and congratulate the ps3 for once!
