I think $89 could be possibly justified if they had a large library of games from the PS3 and below every month to play. Plus you got the usual PS Plus stuff that you are getting right now. It'd just be like a rental service, but much better.

I am okay with how its going. I will be a happy man if they keep online multiplayer and voice chat free. I'll definitely be moving over from xbox then.

Plus costs $50 already as it is which is optional. Thats just over $4 a month. Of course other paid services don't require Plus.

Now with this new service you get Gaikai services INCLUDED for $90. That's just $7.50 a month. That's cheaper than Netflix. And again, other paid services won't requires this new PlayStation service.

I figure that current PS+ members would pay a fee ($30-40) to unlock New Plus on PS4

Gaikai sounds like OnLive just PlayStationed out. If it has a good list of free to play games then it should be easily worth the $90

89 per year seems fair. If cloud services are included. Gaikai streaming and other services require insane server infrastructure world wide and nobody knows yet if those 40 a year more is actually worth it. Depending on what Sony is offering it can be a great deal.

The real news is that Online Gaming remains free. Nobody is forced to pay for additional services if they dont think its worth it thats a good thing in my book.

This is great, we haven't seem exactly how much streaming content there is or how cool the DVR feature is, but if it turns out like expected $40 more a year is really good.

I would actually go with the $90 option, but with my mediocre internet it would be wasted money....so I'll just stick with just having PS+

You can already do direct to YouTube with a PS3. I've done it with WWE games and out of it with the video editor.

Based on the current crop of free shit PSN+ has started giving away... $90/year isn't too much when its also including gaikai and I'm sure several other features.

At least playing online and basic communications is still free. That's a huge plus that hopefully MS matches.

i hope sony charge consumer like netflix does ($8 dollars /month) instead of an annual fees. I can't pay for something in advance that i won't have the assurance that it will work. i need to test the stability of my connection first. Maybe a one week trial will do the trick or something like that.
