if you sell it for a high price and 200 loss the first year or so you could maybe get it back because only gamers buy it who buy many games and stuff on average, if you sell it for a low price with 200 loss per console, many gamers will buy it who buy less games on average because they have not so much money or don't want to pay so much for gaming. that would be those who would normally wait for a price reduction and those who often buy games only after price redcution.
so, selling a console for a low price and 200 loss could be a financial failure.
yes they would have more ps+ subscribers then and marketing costs would be lower per console in the first years but i don't think the average customer of such a "low" priced console would really buy so much other stuff to get back the 200 loss of every sold console.
