I always give blood anyway, and lie on the form, but I can't really decide if it is the right thing to do. Sometimes I wonder if I should tell the truth out of protest, but then they will throw away my blood. It would be a waste as I have never had an STD.

So apparently there is a Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill going through the House of Lords in the UK atm. I have to say I'm shocked at the lack of media coverage on this, especially with all the controversy that was around it (all the backbenchers of the Conservative party were against it whilst David Cameron tried to push it through). On the bright side however, if it makes it through the House of Lords, it'll become law and the UK will join the ranks of countries with gay marriage.

It's a slap in the face, that's what is it. They test all the blood, so they have no logical reason to ban gays from giving blood.

I was worried that the civil partnership thing would slow down gay marriage, as people would think it was enough, but it actually helped in the end. I don't know why they aren't covering it much, but they show the House of Commons debates on BBC parliament quite a lot.

No, sadly just the kids. Still though, it gives them protection which is pretty important. The leaders ban is really bad, but I doubt they can keep it for much longer.

They've been hit hard to where it hurts them most by some of their donors - their pockets.
