What a silly poll. There aren't 11 Xbox-only users on the site! :P

To answer, though, anything could happen next gen. I picked "staying with PlayStation" because at the moment, I find it very unlikely that I'd switch. However, it's certainly possible if Sony pulls multiple moves which put me off the console (anti-used-games; paying for online; dropping certain IP's etc.) If those things happened, I'd seriously have to think about what I wanted out of next gen.

I will likely pick up a Wii-U at some point, just as I picked up a Gamecube in the sixth gen and Wii in the seventh gen. Certain Nintendo IP's are too good to pass up, although I am likely to wait for a price point I'm comfortable with and more IP's I like to be finished. Pikmin is a great start, though.

I'm also considering investing in an up-to-date PC at some point, but a lot of that hinges on whether I buy a PS4 & what focus it has. If, for example, games like Planetside 2 & Shootmania make their way to PS4; and Valve continue to release titles for Sony consoles, then I will be content and I'll delay upgrading. If they don't; or if there's a big influx of strategy & simulation games for high-end PC's (like SimCity, Anno 2070 etc.) then I'll be more likely to upgrade my rig.

Next gen I'll probably have a Vita / PS4 and possibly get a 3DS / WiiU later in the generation depending on games and pricing, it's not looking likely at the moment though. I won't get the 720 unless they do something amazing.

At this time I'm not tempted to get a Wii U because I'm from Romania and the only Mario that's valid for most of us here is the Super Mario Bros. NES one.

Huh?

Nintendo has never been much of a presence in Romania. Sure, we all know Mario, but aside from the original game, not many others got to us.  Nintedo has been selling itself on the strength of its existing franchises and that, for me here, is basically a null thing. If they announce a new Mario or whatever, it's hard for me to care in any way.

Okay...
Well you don't care for Mario. Perfectly fine. But you dismiss the series without having played any game newer than 1985? Quite a lot happened between SMB and SMG. How are all those games not "valid"? Just cause you don't know them? And I can't quite imagine it's a general Romania thing.. sounds highly subjective .

But nevermind, all you say is basically that you don't care for Nintendo games and thus won't buy a Wii U. That's how we all do it. I don't care for shooters / marines / dudebros / violence / cheesy fantasy / B-movie action and a lot more.

Sony/PC and Nintendo are the perfect combination for my taste.
The NextBox will come at the end of the NextGen to pick some interesting games up they maybe will have(FOR MY TASTE)

Will likely be staying with Playstation.

I already picked up a Wii U so that will take most of my time for the forseable future (along with my 3DS) but as a new gen is unfolding it is time for me to pick up a PS3 and possibly an XBox360 those should keep me going if (and when) there are lull times for my Wii U.

If sony does a Black PS3 500GB with PS+ for 1 year for around $249.99 around the PS4 launch this fall (presumably) I will pick it up. I'd get the $299.99 one right now with my tax return if I had the option of getting it in black (I like the white but it doesn't go with my living room look, so glad I could get the Wii U in black right away this time)

For handhelds I already picked up my 8th Gen Handheld (3DS) but as the 7th Gen is ending I'm tempted to buy a PSP as well, will probably do that eventually after I pickup a 3DS XL this summer.

Systems Currently Playing: WiiU, PS3, 3DS

Also Have: Atari 2600, NES, SNES, PS1, N64, PS2, Wii, GB, GBC, GBA, DSLite, DSi, Android (RazorMax), iPhone (4), iPad (2)

Nintendo/PC.

Maybe, Maybeeeee I'll consider PS4 but only if it has all ze games I want. I see it churning out too many western games for now though.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

It's amazing how Xbox owners are more vocal in polls saying they will switch to Sony/Nintendo than saying anything about games in Microsoft threads. Polls mean nothing.

As for switching... I will buy the console that provides me the games I want to play. No need to lick one company's butt. But to tell you the truth, PC gaming is growing in me more and more.

Staying with Nintendo like always. And I also had a 360 and PS3 but now it looks like I will leave Microsoft behind. They have to many non gaming things going on. So Wii U and PS4 for me I guess.
