Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft stepping up the arrogance lately?

At least 4 threads I've read with links to what Microsoft has said in response to the Sony conference reveal on the 20th.

In case you don't know what I'm talking about:

Majority of Uk Consumers won't know about Ps4 reveal

Microsoft on Ps4 reveal

Ps3 isn't as good of an entertainment console as Xbox

The stakes are increasing for both Sony and Microsoft. In case you guys do not remember (I barely remember) Sony came into the Ps3 reveal very cocky and arrogent, due to the crazy amount of success that the Ps2 had against Microsoft and Nintendo. They overpriced their console at the now famous $599 US DOLLARZ. Microsoft on the other hand, came out with the 360 as "the nice guy". Microsoft stepped their game up and innovated online console gaming as well as other things and ended up storming out of the gate in 05 with the 360.

In my opinion, the tides have turned coming into the new generation. Microsoft has turned into "the bad guy" that cares more about money and success (gimicks, kinect, charging for online play). Sony has regained the respect of the gamers with Playstation Plus, great exclusives, and free online. Nintendo continues to be Nintendo by innovating like crazy and creating a unique gaming experience. Nintendo just freakin' prints money so I'll leave them out of the discussion (even though the Wii U is a bit slow currentley, it'll pick up).

What do you guys think about Microsoft's mentality and attitude towards gamers?

That's what he's saying, "too 'x' for their own good" is an expression meaning that a particular trait can lead lead to their downfall. That's usually what I've seen it used for at least.

awesome!.. MS and SONY can go kill each other... they share the same crowd!..

It's only a reflection of Microsoft feeling frustrated and feeling the heat of Sony unexpectedly opening the gates of next-gen. Microsoft probably expected they would be the ones doing that and getting all the attention that comes with being first, but now Sony has robbed them of all the hype that we've been witnessing surrounding the PlayStation Meeting.

This is what Grimes said, and I quote,

"Ten years ago, to think we would be the leader in our second generation is a achievement."

atleast they have a crowd, did you see those WiiU numbers?

@OT : MS has always been arrogant, but lately they think they are invencible, but they are not. something sony and nintendo both learned the hard way.
