never noticed that until you said it just now, but you're right.  Of course 4th consoles don't look much better with Gamecube and Dreamcast so hopefully Sony can avoid that type of failure...although they made pretty much every mistake in the book with the PS3 launch so it can't get much worse than 90 million + for them it seems.

Yes but in the eyes of of most core gamers on the PS3 Sony is a godsend. They never leave the avid gamer hanging.

Sounds to me like these guys are getting scared. They're about to slip into 3rd place sometime this year for the current gen consoles. And Sony is getting massive hype for the PS4, while it's mostly quiet in terms of the NeXbox, even though they are both launching this year. They also know they aren't getting a year or so headstart, one that was coupled with a $200 price advantage for ~3 years. Japan is going to ignore the NeXbox and the majority of EU may do the same, as well. All these point to a pretty big uphill battle for MS.

Is that so, well games are a form of entertainment and PS3 has (imo) better games.
Not only that but PS3 also has Blu ray and 7.1 surround sound. Further more netflix and other services don't require you to pay a fee on top of a fee on the playstation.

And with playstation if you do pay a yearly fee you get access to dozens of games available to download at no extra cost, far better value for money than XBL.
