Kinect has changed the Microsoft policy. They have changed the hardcore games for Kinect games. RARE abandoned IPs like Banjo, Killer Instinct for casual games. Only Halo, Forza and Gears of War stay with us.

Epic hinted a Gears of War only for Kinect. This game is called Gears of War: Tactics (temptative title). A RTS based on GoW franchise. We would like to show you pictures of this game, those pictures are extracted from a previous footage. The graphics are poor, obviously, the video showed a game in works, probably an alpha version, maybe more primitive.

In Tactics you can take the control of four players. Draw a path with your finger until the place you want to move the character and later you choose an action (or make and action and move later, like you want). One by one or groups, you have the control.

Epic Games were developing the game for Xbox 360, but now probably they moved the project to Durango.

I think this project was scrapped a while back.

I thought that as well, don't have any source of this, though I wouldn't be surprised if M$ tried something like this like they did with Halo Wars

Yeah at least not on the current Kinect i would be cool to have these features for Halo Wars or HW 2 for Next Gen.

If they made it as a regular Gears game but an RTS (not some kinect crap) it could sale a decent amount of copies. Also lets hold the phone on another gears game if anyone at Epic or MS is reading this don't start milking Gears of War.

missed opportunity. i heard it was the best RTS this gen.

Halo Wars was pretty good game and sold really well it would have sold better on a PC because it has a better RTS fanbase.But im exited about the next Xbox and Kinect 2. Kinect has potential to be something really good but it was too weak the motion tracking has to be more accurate so Games like RYSE and Project Milo can be played to their full potential.
