So do you think that the guarantee port of Mario Galaxy will come out on this Gen 3D Handheld or next Gen 3D Handheld?

3DS version would look worse, as previously stated.

Actually 3D makes graphics look much more crisper looking then 1080p HD does.

As anyone else who has also played both the PS3 in 2D & 3DS in 3D will tell you.

Im fact HD is a gimmick as proven by 3D Movies & Nintendo 3DS & IMAX films. The 3D Movies look more crisper looking despite the resolution being cut in half, so HD waste your time in the Movies, especially when you got IMAX that dies way more better 2D anyways.

I would rather see a new Mario Galaxy for the 3DS, rather than a re-release of the game from 2007.

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Graphics would be worse, though. 3DS isn't as powerful as Wii. It has better shaders, but it has worse everything else. Galaxy games would look great on it, but they wouldn't be "better", as 3DS is less powerful than Wii.

No, stop porting/ remaking games Nintendo. Especially ones that just came out a few years ago... 10+ year old games I can understand, but come on. Would I buy SMG on 3DS just to see it in 3D? Of course not... Graphics would not be that much different either.

The Nintendo 3DS has over 50 shader cores and better lighting and so fort.

I don't see the 15.3 million polygons in the 3DS presenting a problem, especially when you are putting a Wii game on the 3DS.

Plus 3D makes graphics look much more Crisper looking then HD has ever done.

And you don't have to worry about draw distance being less then the 360/PS3/Wii U, because it's viewed in full blown 3D.

I hope they use those devs for a new 3D Mario game why do we need a port of galaxy on 3DS? I honestly thought they where going to announce a new DKC game but then they said it's a port lol. don't think it will sell that well

I would also want to see that as well as the ports too.

3D does a lot of things, making graphics more "crisp" is not one of them. More "blurry" would be more accurate.

You're thinking about real life.........but 3D games & 3D movies, do NOT look blurry.

But looking at real life in 3D in person with your own 2 eyes does look blurry because real life requires to focus on either background & or fore ground. But 3D Live-Action movies & 3D games shows everything at once with automatic focus on all at the same time at once, and it's real natural.

I think they are going to make a new Donkey Kong for the 3DS after this one, like Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D follow by New Zelda 3DS follow by 1 or 2 Zelda Remakes for 3DS.

Iwata said that Super Mario Galaxy was a perfect game to be re-release on the 3DS but felt that it was too soon because of how new the games still where back in 2011, but now there's Donkey Country Returns 3D which was a Wii game that is now also on the 3DS.

And for the graphics, well you can compare Mario & Sonic at London Olympics on both systems to each other, and you can also compare Spider Man Edge of Time on both systems to each other, and you can compare Pilotwings Resort to Wii Sports Resort......and you will see that the 3DS has 5 times more better looking graphics visually (even though it's not literally 5 times better of course).

Anyways do you think we can expect to see Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 also come to the 3DS, now that there's Donkey Kong Country Returns?

Also who besides me would want to see Super Mario Sunshine come to the 3DS (which both this game & Star Fox 64 requires 3D to be able play without BS anyways, LOL)

Of course if it doesn't come out on this Gen Handheld, then it will come out on the next Gen Handheld for a 3D version of Galaxy.

Come on now... are we really judging graphics based on Wii Sports Resort, Pilotwings, and (of all things) Spider-man edge of time?  None of those games really pushed their consoles to their limits.

The 3DS has more modern architecture, and it's a lot easier to incorporate spiffy effects with less effort, so games made by lazier (or more resource strapped) developers like Beenox for Spidey can wind up looking better.  But other games show a pretty noticeable Wii advantage.  Monster Hunter Tri vs Ultimate, Super Mario Galaxy 2 vs 3D Land are pretty notable.  Check out Lego City Undercover's draw distance, and then take a look at Mario Sunshine. Look at New Super Mario Bros Wii vs 3DS.

Not saying which is better than the other, but judging the 3DS to be more powerful than the Wii based on one second Spider-man rate game is a bit silly.

Well, the 3D effect eliminates the need for longer draw distance; my examples are Fire Emblem: Awakening & Kid Icarus: Uprising & Crashmo & Sonic All Stars Transformed & Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon 3D trailer from E3 2012 that was for download from the eShop & many more.

As far as graphics, well Mario & Sonic at London Olympics has more better graphics on the 3DS.

Plus the 3DS has over 50 shader cores which is better then the Wii & 360 in this area, and also 1600 m triangles.

Plus didn't Mario Galaxy on Wii use cell-shaded graphics for a lot of the game in combination with polygons for the rest of the game, like the textures in cell-shaded?

Uhhhhhh... how does 3D negate the need for draw distance?  Out of the games you mentioned, none of them have very strong draw distance except maybe Kid Icarus, but that's on rails (at least the parts that would really have you looking into the distance), so that's a bit different.  Crashmo wouldn't have anything to do with that, and I doubt Fire Emblem would either.

Never played Mario and Sonic @ the olympics.  Maybe it does look better on the 3DS, but that doesn't really matter when the majority of games look clearly better on the Wii.  New Super Mario Bros vs New Super Mario Bros 2, Mario Galaxy vs Super Mario 3D Land, Monster Hunter Tri vs Ultimate and so on so forth.  Even Luigi's Mansion clearly has some major advantages over Dark Moon.

As for shaders, and clock speed, you're making the same mistake the "Wii U is weaker than X-Box" crowd is making.  You're pulling numbers out of their context.  For example you mentioned that the 3DS is a dual core @ 800 MHz.  That may be true (or it may not be), but that's an ARM processor which is entirely different than the kind of processor in the Wii, which doesn't produce three images across two screens.  It's an apples and orange comparison.  50 shader cores means nothing unless you know more about the architecture of the GPU.

The only thing that really matters is how games look, and by now we've got a lot of evidence that shows Wii games look better than the 3DS.  Mario Kart Wii vs 7, Mario Galaxy vs Super Mario 3D Land, NSMB 2 vs Wii, Monster Hunter Tri vs Ultimate, and so on so forth.

The Wii has a 1-core 729 MHz CPU vs. the 3DS 2-core CPU which is underclock at 800 MHz a core on pre-install firmware for battery life.

And the 3DS also has a way more efficient RAM then the 360 & PS3 RAM.

The 3DS has better AI & Lighting & etc. etc.

So what are you talking about?

Amd the 3DS is now on firmware 4.5.0-10U so it's CPU is clock even higher per core, but still underclock from whatever the max is.
