It's interesting that Nintendo didn't put out a press-release if those latest numbers are true, as they sold more consoles in the US this January than last January (152k Wiis in January 2012, at least 157k consoles in January 2013, with Wii U selling for more than Wii on over a third of those units), but I suppose it's because weekly console rates were flat or down on a unit basis.
My guess is January went like this based on what came out-
X360 - 281,000 (56,200 a week, down from 67,500 a week last Jan)
PS3 - 220,000 (44,000 a week, down from 47,000 a week last Jan)
3DS - 130,000 (26,000 a week, down from 43,000 a week last Jan)
Wii - 120,000 (24,000 a week, down from 38,000 a week last Jan)
DS - 70,000 (14,000 a week, down from 19,000 a week last Jan)
Wii U - 57,000 (11,400 a week)
Vita - 34,000 (6,800 a week)
PSP - 10,000 (2,000 a week, down from 4,000 a week last Jan)
