Forums - Nintendo - Wii U TRUE POWER..:

I think people are really jumping the gun with the doom and gloom talk over Wii U. I really believe it has yet to reach its true potential in sales and games, and I'm not just saying this because I am a Nintendo fan. I simply look at the future releases, and I see a console that will gain more and more momentum. The games are definitly there, just a matter of if the sales will follow, which they should eventually as long as the quality titles keep coming. Monster Hunter, Lego City Stories, X, Yoshi, 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Rayman, Dragon Quest, Zelda WW.. And unlike the Gamecube years, Nintendo has some franchises that can bring in a mass market audience now as well (Wii Fit, Sing, Wii Sports, NSMB, etc).

WiiU will be fine, you cant doom a console after only a couple of months on the market. I wish people would just stop the WiiU doom and gloom, same happened with the 3DS but Nintendo turned it around.
Also we havent seen if the competion is gonna fare any better-, high specs=expensive hardware= high dev costs= fucking expensive games, a lot could go wrong....just sayin.

No one in their right mind can doom the 3DS and the Wii U. The 3DS is a more popular device than even the consoles, so I don't know why it would inspire disbelief in its future success. A slow start is a slow start but the Wii U is a totally different animal and Nintendo set up this console to be at parity for once with third parties, but come Feb 20th they better hope Sony missed the boat on the specs devs have been demanding and Microsoft after that. That is the problem that will cost them a ton of great multiplat games Nintendo owners who dont want to own multiple console want.

Uh, since when? I don't even remember a time where they DID dominate. In recent years they've been very crappy.

Only last year was crappy. 2011 and 2010 were quite good. But 2012 was just... I don't even...

E3 2010 was a pretty good one for Nintendo, as the 3DS reveal generated a ton of hype, and they actually showed off a decent Wii roster for once. I remember a lot of press claiming that Nintendo won E3 that year, but I wouldn't say it was domination.

Last year was crap across the board...

Time will tell if N can shake the cobwebs off the Wii U, I think it's just off to a slow start like the 3DS was.

Saying it's a failure this early is like yelling at a toddler for not having it's Master's Degree yet.

Nintendo goes with same tactics as original Wii. And it's not sells as well.

So...

Your name and your lack of english make me not want to debate with you. You should reconsider.
