They way I see it is if Gearbox didn't make Duke or Aliens, no one would. I'm glad the games came out regardless of their final state. Did anybody honestly expect a game 12 years ago to be any good? Aliens CM looks like most of its development was done in 2008.

So you're saying Bioware or Bungie couldn't fix this game?

Let me say this.  Once something is so far into development the only way to fix everything is by scrapping everything.

This game has been in development since 2001. Gearbox has had it longer than Fox. They could've stripped the whole game.

They shouldve but i doubt they did

Same can be said about Duke Nukem and Randy Pitchford had the balls to say that if reviewers didn't like they game they would held accountable. A shit game is still a shit game. They can't hide behind their one hit RPG shooter forever.

I agree.  I would never say they are a great developer. Not even close.  I am just pointing out that they are capable of making a good FPS and they will likely be continueing on that seccess making Borderlands 3.  From there resume i doubt they would be that great in another genre either.  Maybe a RPG but if you cant accel in something you have experience in its hard to say what they would be like in genres they have no experience in.  Thye have made or published two horrible games this gen that will do nothing but damage the reputation of there studios

I mostly agree and I think I agree that they could do a mild RPG fusion: However, RPG is a stretch, I think they had the easy genre handed to them with Borderlands and even the second Borderlands became long-winded after the second game. I liked two better than one but it was a bit much.

There might be extenuating circumstances with Colonial Marines. I know there was with Duke Nukem, so I don't really hold that game against them.

I mean, if you think about it, the game was started in 2008. We know things have happened since them, with layoffs and other games, and who knows what the funding situation with Sega was like. Sega can't even make another Valkyria Chronicles or Bayonetta on their own. I'm guessing that it was just a very troubled development cycle.

I think another shooter would be fine but they should probably stay away from properties owned by other companies. Likewise, everyone should probably stay away from Sega.

I totally agree that Sega is a disgrace of a publisher.

This has to stop, and I am thinking Sega needs to call it quits too. They will not survive next gen at this rate.

They do need to stop with horrible games to be honest.  I dont really know how much it is hurting them but i cant see how it is helping them.

Edit that out. One of the mods banned me last week for doing that and called it spamming.

Thanks. I edited my post, check it out.

The lack is most definitely going to hurt Sega. Just like I predicted the Fable crew would implode, I predict sega will not last another full gen without revisions.
