you want me  compare games 3d games from 2006 to a 2d game from 2012. which is just silly ,  specs alone on 360 was a 20x jump from xbox, they were not even close to touching its potentail in 2006 cause it was so ahead of its time. system specs since the 3d era have always been ahead of there time rivaling the most powerful pc, those days are over now, you can get pc card HD5550 with the same gpu specs that have for wiiu and it will blow past 360.http://forum.beyond3d.com/showpost.php?p=1705494&postcount=4658

Developers had no experience with the 360 in 2005. Just like they had no experience with the Wii U in 2012.

your not getting the point, the wiiu specs are not ground breaking, developers have been working on specs that exceeded those years ago, unlike 360, where the tech just came out, these days consoles are like pc's in a closed box, if you read the link i posted you would learn something.

You're missing the point; the Wii U has a different architecture to the PS3 and 360. Existing engines are designed around the PS3/360's strengths, not the Wii U's. The fact that Wii U isn't cutting edge doesn't change the fact that it is customized and unfamiliar hardware to devs.

Every Wii U game so far is either (A) a port with the afore-mentioned problem, (B) not graphically ambitious,  or (C) not graphically competent. Hence, games to date are not an accurate representation of its capabilities.

and tell me how do pc ports work,  that pc card came out in 2009 and it runs call of duty 4 much better then 360/ ps3, and it based of the maximum perfromance  of the proposed 320sp wii u gpu specs, do tell why its so different on wii u, you will notice no tech head used that argument caus they know better and pc is ma much more bottle necked system then any of the consoles.

Because the PC version of COD4 wasn't a cheap and nasty port from the 360 code like Wii U's ports, and that PC card is probably much more standard in design, not all weird and customized like Latte.

Hey leave him alone.. he really doesnt know shit..... devs are already saying early ps4720 games will NOT look any better than the best current gen games.. anyone with half a brain would know this...(the same as wiiU early games not looking better than current gen)... at this point this kid wont understand until ms/sony next consoles come out.. the disappointments will be glorious.. and the excuses will be entertaining!

Man this is turning into one of THOSE nights......

Can we all just get along until at least Feb 20?

Imagine a week of no dese graphics vs. dose graphics!

That is if Feb 20 brings anything useful to this debate at all.

it was based off the 360 code. you can think what ever you wan't, let me know when you have real proof of anything, except for trine 2 which was an enhanced port and simple 2d game, that plays into the wiiu strength, no cpu usage, no banwidth usage and the extra ram but all those won't help in a complex 3d games like halo, cod or uncharted. anyway were not getting any where so peace.

But it isn't just badly ported 360 code.

And it's kinda funny to hear you say  "let me know when you have real proof of anything" when your "Wii U is current gen" crusade (which seems to be your only reason for being on VGChartz at all) is based on speculation, not proof.

Trine 2 may be 2D, but graphically it is not a simple game. It's not sprite based, it uses 3D models, along with heavy use of shaders and lighting effects.

But hey, you're also free to think whatever you want.

I don't know.

So far I'm inclined to believe it is, based on its ability to run late-life PS360 games at launch, and the fact that a console's graphics tend to significantly improve from its launch, but we won't really know until it matures.

Maybe the Wii U will never produce a game with better graphics than Uncharted 3 or Halo 4. Or maybe it will produce one before this year is out.

We'll just have to wait and see.

i'm fine with this but you can only blame nintendo for hiding its specs.

Yeah, that part is annoying. They probaby did it so people wouldn't read "2GB RAM" and be like "aw, that's 1/4 of the next Xbox, I'l buy Microsoft instead."
