Forums - General - How do you start a thread on this site?

First off don't point out that I have started a thread to ask how to make a thread... because I haven't lol.

What on this site makes a good thread. News, discussions, threads about sorikus genitals or even posting games.

I would like to know how to make my threads better and more entertaining for you people to read

Around the Network

1.Chuck Norris.

2.call people n00b

 3.make fun of leo-j

4.pizza

5. Say that you're are gonna pwn everyone on Brawl.

6. COOKIES!!!!!

1.) Flame Threads always do well, at least until they're closed

2.) Something pro-nintendo USUALLY does well, flaming usually exists in those too.

3.) Say something good about the PS3, those usually end up being 100+ posts also, flaming always exists.

4.) Compare a game between the PS3 and 360 :P

5.) Create "Game" Threads, like the post something about the poster above you, or 4 word sentance, :P People love to overamast their post count on pointless things :3

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

I agree on the chuck norris front, I heard he CAN believe it's not butter, we should have a favorate chuck norris fact thread. I'll make one now

Yes, a pro nintendo thread will get you a good ending.

A Pro sony one will get you a bad one.

Flaming is fun, but only if there are not mods on.

Me... Its considered a good thread anytime I respond to a thread. Its an even better when I create the thread.

Oh and twestern's kitten can turn any thread into gold.

:)

Seriously though, any thread can be good as long as its backed up with credible facts and not opinions. Some posters will back up their comments with "IMO" ($50 vg's if you know who I'm talking about!!), and then those threads usually end up in flame wars.

It also depends on your definition of a "good" thread. Are you talking about the amount of replies? or a quality thread. For example "pro-life vs. pro-choice" as a lot of replies, but personally I think it should of got locked the minute it showed up since it really just a place for people to argue over something
