I think he's more likely scum than town, so it's less of a policy vote than you may think.  I am not super confident he's scum, so I would feel less comfortable with voting him off on a later Day with only that amount of confidence, but on Day 1 there is less evidence to go on.  People seem to be against No Lynches, and I do sympathize with some of the justifications for that position, and so I (and others, I think) are willing to lynch people on Day 1 with a lower threshold of suspicion. 

Additionally, Day 1 lynches have the worst record of accuracy, so it's the best Day to lynch someone partially or wholly on the basis of being "worthless", as long as you don't have a strong suspicion of a different person as mafia (who you can persuade others to lynch).  (Because if you have a 25% chance to lynch scum, or a 100% chance to get rid of dead weight, it's worth considering, isn't it? considering how bothersome it can be to have them around as town later.)  Later on one is more likely to have stronger suspicions, as well as perhaps (for a non-marcus example) feeling that the worthless lurker is probably town. 

Now I admit, marcus is a different case from a shameless lurker; he's been crazy, but that may change, and he's at least participating, so later on we would have a better guess about his alignment than an absentee, although if he was throwing random votes around that could hurt town.  On the other hand, I feel it's decently likely he's scum after all.  One could argue that I could wait till a later day to let my read on him mature, but you could say that about anyone.  I wouldn't mind No Lynching, I guess, if that's what you want?

Illogic? Prove it. I'll save you some time. You can't. Your example of illogic was that 'you would have responded to the question earlier if you were scum'. I said you were scum for avoiding my question. By definition that is not illogic, and is a known mafia behavior to avoid giving out information on their teammates. You ask me why should you not answer it? That's WIFOM. And you could have any reason. Paranoia, Anxiety, etc. It's not my job to say exactly why you avoided a question that was asked of you twice.

Grasping for straws? In what? By definition, grasping for straws means I'm stretching. You didn't answer a question, overreacted to an accusation, got extremely sarcastic, and you're flipflopping. Just a few posts ago you were calling me a vet, a pro, too good, etc. The next second you're saying nobody takes me seriously, especially you. All I'm doing is poking you, and you're filling up like an angry jigglypuff, anxious for me to go to sleep so you can mess up my face.

What does this refer to?  (I don't mean Mario's post.)  Is there some kind of rules limitation on the number of votes per Day we get to cast?  I don't see anything like that in the OP. 

He was just saying he doesn't like to throw his vote around like crazy. He wants it to actually mean something.
