no yoshi i haven't done the math
Yes, I was fooled, but honestly, IMO this game was lost primarily by Linkz's gambit and Stefl's modkills, so *SHRUG*

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia. Thanks WordsofWisdom!
at some point it would take all of town to vote for one person to be lynched. it would also slow people from lurking, and force more people to play if they plan to when, so town would have the votes, they'd just have to agree that the person they're for is mafia.
you could also limit the amount of block votes there are, and even end them when there's no chance mafia can be lynched.
Yoshiya said: GG Mafia, you played well (and was helped by the way that town played). I was certain that DT was mafia but I'll admit I started to reconsider when I saw people vote him before everyone had even checked in (this was the reason I didn't put my own vote down). Good to know I was right about FF and Radish :P |
You always think I'm scum. Like, literally every game you put the blinkers up. Still obsessing over me being scum so many times in my earlier rounds no doubt :P
I'm surprised you haven't realised it yet tbh
So hyped for Rome 2: Total War
Damn town. That was pretty lame. We (me) had mario and Trucks pinned as certain scum all along in the dead thread.
Good game to scum. Town played very bad, especially prof and Linkz.

Also, I'm so proud of myself for being capable of finally getting such an early read on Trucks... since he is one of the hardest people for me to get a read on.
I finally found a trend in his play as scum, and it's very similar to my tell as scum.

Blocking lynch is an interesting mechanic, but would probably have to be limited to some extent; if mafia managed to kill Vig/SK early, then a 4 man team in a 14 player game (8 to lynch) would be able to take up the lynch requirement to 16 to lynch and would leave town in an unwinnable position. Giving a single townie the ability to up the lynch requirement as sort of a "wait, see if you actually want to do this" is an excellent idea, however; I prefer it much more than the governor that stops the lynch for the day.
MDJ, I thought you played pretty well. The rest of the scumteam played well enough to keep suspicion off them pretty much completely, but I thought that MDJ in particular had a type of play that was pretty powerfully different than last game. Linkz, I'm sorry for not trusting your meta read on this one; I didn't really expect that he would be able to pull something like this in what I understand is his second scum game in a row after a long hiatus.
I thought town's biggest mistake was the hatmoza lynch. I thought Linkz was soft-counterclaiming for the longest after hatmoza's claim and with the boon of my investigative role to make a towncop a little less likely, I thought Linkz might be experiencing a similar scenario with his own role. When he rescinded that counterclaim, I backed off in the hopes that people would follow; it's pretty important not to lynch a power role claim on Day 1 when you don't have a single person who is pulling the whole "I'm standing behind this lynch and I promise he will not flip scum". This led to Linkz's lynch the second day, which was a hole that an apathetic town wasn't able to dig itself out of.
Stefl, thanks for a great game!
Oh yeah and hatmoza, you played a hell of a game as town, thanks so much for replacing in and keeping up the play anyways. I was holding back on calling certain things you did while getting lynched because I thought Linkz was counterclaiming you, but a lot of your posts were spot-on and I think that if you managed to escape the lynch that day, this game would have turned out much, much differently.
For future reference, guys, never lynched a claimed cop unless there is a direct counter claim. That was very lame and -imo- a sign of just how incapable most players here are at deductive thinking and reasoning.
Now where is that sign up thread again?

You mean like you always accuse me of being scum as well?
