So, a trophy is more important to you than your wife? Or you can't play that part on other time? Marriage makes us do some compromise, why don't you learn it.

A sex scene? In a game? You get a trophy for that? Wow, that is pretty stupid, I don't blame her for freaking out over that.
But... she had no right to take your game away. Ask for it back, say that it's just a game and that you don't think women are actually sex objects (hopefully you don't think that), and hopefully she would understand.

@Comment above; What did she say when you told her that you 100% them to save money? That was a pretty good thing to say...

The trophy is for getting all collectible objects to be specific and one of the objects you get from the minigame (I still need one more object and I get the trophy). I personally find the sex game silly and over the top but since it gives you a ton of orbs to level up I play them since it is literally 30seconds of QTE. When I told her that she went into the "You care more about games then you do my feelings" whole spiel

That's one of the stupidest lines she gave me. Of course a trophy isn't more important but there is no reason why she should feel that way.

Why on earth would you post this here? You already know your side of the story and no one here is actually going to give you hers. Unless you seriously expect a comment saying "I think God of War is sexist and should be condemned for it" on a video game forum. (Actually, I might, but I'm too tired to argue something like that right now.)

I don't know if you're being unreasonable or she is, but I'd think that you two would know how to come to a compromise or one of you would have learned to submit in these kind of situations considering you're married.

Sounds like you guys need to learn how to compromise...

Wow, some of the comments in here are pretty ridiculous.
Don't listen to the people that say "This'll cause more problems later on", or "divorce her", or even "Buy more copies to make her mad." Those things should be at the (way) bottom of your list. They won't fix anything, it'll just make it more of a problem for you and her.

I think restrictions cause problems later on but I'll handle those when they arrive. As for the other ones of course I won't listen. The buy more copies is just silly on so many levels.

Oh goodness... just tell her that they aren't. Plain simple. Don't raise your voice at her and if she tries to raise her voice at you just tell her to not get mad, you guys are just trying to talk.

If that doesn't convince her then tell her that she is being ridiculous. Still, don't raise your voice. Tell her that and then (while walking away) say, "I hope you change your mind. It's just a game, like you said." Guilt-tripping always works.

I have told her that. But I told her that a 30 second part of a game isn't anything to get bent out of shape over. And I have admitted that it's a silly part of the game and if it had no bearing on things I wouldn't play it.

As for raising my voice, I've had a lot of practice with these types of things with my mom so I have been extremely calm.

Wow, I can understand being insecure about the sexy pix-elated animated character, but taking your game and hiding it, as other have pointed out, is patronizing, disrespectful and immature.

How do you think she would like it if you hid her makeup? Because it's sexist towards woman and makes them fake sex object?

I don't think it would go over too well.

She sounds like she is feeling insecure. Take her out, have a nice dinner, treat her well, and let her know that sort of behavior is not reasonable and will not be tolerated.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

There really is no way to comprimise in this situation though. One suggestion she made was to not play it since it's optional to beat the game... but I told her it isn't optional to 100% the game. Then she said just don't play it when she is there. Problem is I leave for school at 7am and get back past 7pm... her school is 10am to 3pm. I'm home when she is all the time and it was my first time playing a game in over a month since I finally had free time... there is no guarentee that I will have any free time in the near future and when I do there is no guarentee she wont be home. It's literally over a part of the game that last 30 seconds and then it's gore and violence (which she has no problem with)
