Your wife seems to be an immature person.Good that you´re not putting up with the bullshit.

She is normally a reasonable person which is why I was shocked when she flipped out. She ejected the disc from the system and wouldn't give it back to me at first. When I got it back she stormed outta the house. She wouldn't give it back for like an hour and the whole time I was saying "I could have been past this part by now" and 3 minutes after she stormed off I sent her a text saying "It's over already. All that for a 3 minute period of a game." Later on in the week (when I went to play it again and found the disc missing) I told her she was being very immature and overreacting for an optional part of the game. She tried making a deal with me which was basically don't play that part then and I declined saying I have no problem with the part and if I want to 100% the game then I need to play the game. I explained to her that I force myself to 100% the games before I get rid of them so I'm playing them longer instead of picking up another game immediately which saves money.

A sex scene? In a game? You get a trophy for that? Wow, that is pretty stupid, I don't blame her for freaking out over that.
But... she had no right to take your game away. Ask for it back, say that it's just a game and that you don't think women are actually sex objects (hopefully you don't think that), and hopefully she would understand.

@Comment above; What did she say when you told her that you 100% them to save money? That was a pretty good thing to say...

simple minded is what she is. srry bro. it's just silly for her to think one form of visual media is different from the other. no this has not, nor will it ever happen to me, cause marriage isn't my thing, but i hope things can be settled, and if i were you. i'd go buy another version of GOS, just to piss her off.

and i'd tell her "i'll keep buying them, if you keep hiding them cause i'm a grown ass man and it's disrespectful to think you can tell me i can't do something like i'm a child. we are married and equal as per our vows.

While this issue isn't so bad, someone who thinks like that will cause problems over and over in future.

See my reply to JGarret (she is normally reasonable). However, I remember a thread a few months back about someone dating a girl with kids for a month and the kid called him dad and he bailed out and didn't talk to her for 3 weeks. When he did talk to her she set limitations/restrictions on him and I told him in that thread that's never a good thing and just causes problems.

"She has since taken the game and hid it somewhere"
That's what my mum did to me with Vice city 5 years ago. She's treating you like an 11 year old.

"Honey, it's ok if you watch porn, but when there's one sex scene in a video game, I will flip out and make bad excuses so you won't play it anymore."

I'm fully with you mate, its a recent trend with women. Everything is sexist according to them.

That's what my mom did with Resident Evil! I told her she was acting like my mom.

Wow, some of the comments in here are pretty ridiculous.
Don't listen to the people that say "This'll cause more problems later on", or "divorce her", or even "Buy more copies to make her mad." Those things should be at the (way) bottom of your list. They won't fix anything, it'll just make it more of a problem for you and her.

I wouldn't condone this if she'd objected on the grounds of having good taste in video games. But since she's just being a prude, you ought to mansplain to her how it's gonna be.
