As a tip for further platform comparisons: At "Hardware by date" you can change the time period from "Weekly" to "Yearly". This will show you what the consoles sold in 1 year instead of 1 week.

On the VGC Homepage all you have to do is hover over the charts tab and then click "Global-Yearly." After that choose 2012 from the drop down menu.
