If they cut the price of those memory cards I'm buying two 32GBs

Nobody knows what they expect to sell by March 2014. This articles refers to March 2013.

Same goes for the price cut, a lot of people were already assuming there weren't going to be a price cut before FY, it may come later in 2013.

if sony give it a price cut now they will just shoot them selfs in the foot. if they cut the price now it will give the system a push in sales but little to no games releasing it will fall back down. they need to cut the price, have a revision of the hardware include built in memory, have games launching in the near future and a new marketing campaign. i suggest they announce the vita price cute plus new model with 4 GB built in memory wifi version for 179$ and the 3g model with 16gb built in memory for 229$. release it at the end of june or beginning of august. with killzone and fifa coming out in sepetember that would help push sales and continue momentum. 

well there projections are for the 2012 fiscal year, which ends this quarter. if they were cutting the price they would now that sales will increase. but the projections that made are now show that they predict low sales. so they dont predict sales to increase, hence we can understand there is no price cut

Yeah, it doesn't seem likely. I read this investor Q&A where they said their focus is on profitability and pushing the system with compelling software.
Look at how much damage the 3DS price cut did to Nintendo, look at how 3DS sales are in America/EU......they're ok but they're not blowing up the charts.

It is wise for Sony to take the Gamecube-strategy and focus on profitability since they can't afford to take drastic measures on a handheld that could never take off. Besides, PS4 launch is coming soon and that is guaranteed to be taking losses and any drastic measures they take will be reserved for PS4. Vita isn't that important to Sony, they are fighting a losing battle there.

↑↑↑↑↑THIS↑↑↑↑ Makes alot of sense, Vita can still be made as a profit wheter it sells only 1mil or 10mil this year, Sony is better off going all out on PS4 then taking a major lost on their handheld (since Sony isn't in the best position in terms of being financial) affecting there home console. We can all agree PS4 will be very amazing and it needs all the help it can get ($$$ wise). Vita will keep on selling, one thing they need to do which everybody complains about is that expensive memory. They shouldn't have that much of a problem cutting it down by Summer Time imo

PS4 and NeXbox will be doomed when they get announced and released too.  Just wait.  Everybody dooms everything before they have a chance and then when they start rolling people realize they was never doomed in the first place.  People assume way too quick.

They have to decrease the price, not increase the quality. That's one of the reasons 3DS wins. It's much inferior, which allows it to be cheaper. Plus 4 GB is nothing. Really, that's just a waste of resources for the redesign for something useless, moreover they pack a 4GB card with almost all Vitas anyway. I have a 32 GB card and I have 7 GB left, but I plan some big PS Store shoppings this month, so I will probably fill it all up. If anything, they could release a special business class Vita with 128 or 256 GB (preferably) on board, but not to make it a standard thing. I would get that one without hesitation.

But alligning the price cut with the release of big games is a no-brainer. Soul Sacrifice will be the last big game with Vita at current price. I have said it a long time ago - Sony will try to milk what it can from the Japanese with this game and just cut the price after that some time before the release of KZ.

Dont you see their results? Where do you suppose they will get the money to take those losses? Their results are negative. Only went positive cause they sold assets. But at least some retailers make a good discount on it sometimes. I am gonna buy one tomorrow with a 40 euro price cut. ^^
