Using the Gamepad as an extremely useful map, where you could even take notes (sinked ship here, sharks there, etc) as well as using it as an underwater camera to take the required pics of fishes, etc.

And in HD and with better animations (for our character, not the animals that were great)... WHY HAVEN'T YOU ANNOUNCED IT ALREADY, NINTENDO?!

I hope we get one on WiiU soon! don't get your hopes up for today though

I don't, it will be some minor news most likely.

Maybe they will reveal of which game from Square are the guys that made the Mass Effect 3 port bringing to WiiU.

The great Wii U google earth app is out in japan since yesterday or so. I think US and europe tomorrow get it too. This will be interesting but nothing spectacular.

Edit: "Rich said that Wii Street U powered by google is not very interesting is it?"

So it will be something bigger ... I am on the hype train now

The interesting part is Aussie-Gamer's hint. Something to do with "multiple dimensions".

Obvious possibilities include something to do with Portal, Dead of Alive: Dimensions (3DS game - could perhaps be being remade on Wii U), or that Oliver and Spike game that has the three dimensions, which is already confirmed as being developed for Wii U (among other systems).

Rich has already pretty much said that it's not Wii Street U. Someone asked if he'd call that "Substantial", and he said he wouldn't. He said that the IGN news is substantial.
