New information has been released concerning the upcoming Koei Tecmo title Toukiden, developed by Omega-Force.

The historical fantasy action game will be in the "monster hunting" style, where players take the role of samurai to hunt demons. Demons will feature destructible parts such as arms and legs. Up to four players can work together in battles, and will support PSV/PSP cross play.

The game is set to release some time this year.

Let's just hope there's not too much striking of giant crabs in their weak points for massive damage.

is it me or is it that after monster hunter became big as it is almost every Japanese game has these "monster hunting" style

ugh not only is ANOTHER hunting game, its by Omega Force... yuck.

Pretty much. Sega started it with Phantasy Star, Capcom copied and popularized it with Monster Hunter, and now there's a huge slew of games going for this style.

Omega Force makes some ridiculous over the top games, but hey they made Dynasty Warriors One Piece, which sold exceptionally well in Japan and is getting a sequel, and also FIST OF THE MOTHERFRICKIN NORTH STAR x2!
