What!! Even if it's a Kinect game it still counts as AN EXCLUSIVE FLOP. Judging by how Microsoft advertised it "Kinect makes a game more awesome"

Ugh....now I see what derailing a thread looks like. It isn't a pretty sight I gotta admit. Very sobering.

Thinking of some random flopped 360 game as a default excuse to justify a less then expected opening of a PS3 exclusive is shallow. There is no reasoning to your input. I said Battle Royale because the preorders and metas are very similar. Your reasoning makes no sense, just listing some random game with no real matching criteria.

So now whenever we compare games they have to have the same pre-orders/metascores? sounds like a crappy rule to me.

No........that just happened to be my own personal opinion for this thread, nothing is set in stone here. Listen to the mods post.

Kinda odd compliant: a lot like the old Sly, so fans should like it. But people new to the series won't because there's no evolution of the games? But people new to the series, like me, don't know what the old Sly's are like so have no idea about the whole evolution thing in Sly.

So if fans of the series are going to like it, and people new to the series don't know that it's a lot like the old Sly then they may or may not like it, but not because of any similarity to the PS2 games.

Many games are basically carbon copies of previous iterations in the franchise yet they still get high 80's on MC. It's almost like some critics wanted a reason not to like it.

The mixed reviews suggest it's a reflection of the older games. Buy in my eyes ... The formula is still great, in my opinion.

Which previous Sly game is it most comparable to?

The reviews I read didn't specifically finger any of the previous titles - they were general. They pointed out that it is like the older games, which is great for fans of the series, but it's not an evolution. More of an extension if you will. That is a + in my eyes.

Also, most of the positive scores point out it has flaws - long load times, wony camera and controls - but are minor compared to its good parts.

I just want to know if it has tight level design or is open world.  FOrmer I'll buy, latter I'll wait.

I don't understand why people think 77 means it's a failing game. That is pretty damn good especially for the type of game it is in this FPS happy gaming market.

lol sry those are your options. Sony has LBP.....thats really about it.

Or if you wanna go old school you get Banjo Kazooie/Tooie on XBLA.

Why would i pay for those games again?

i already have it on my N64.

Same reason why people buy HD collections.

Not only but it's surely an excuse to replay them. :)

Good point. I think I'd wait a bit if it was open world as well. Not so much a fan of that. Well, since they said it mirrors the older games I can infer that it is still the same in that sense too. Colin from IGN had some info on that in his review I believe. The exact line escapes me but I think he pointed out that you can do a lot in the game, but he didn't suggest it was open world. You'll have to check it for clarity.
