Forums - Gaming - Why Heavy Rain is better than the Walking Dead.

You can't "die."

Seriously the thing that makes Heavy Rain so different is the feeling of "I've only got one shot at this." Unless you manually restart through chapter select the game is a 1 time experience. Death does not make you restart.

With the Walking Dead however it is just like every other game. You die and restart a couple minutes earlier. Anyone else agree with me that this is the major difference between these two very similar types of games?

the worst damn problem I had with Heavy Rain was before any copies even got to the Gamestop near me, the person who did it was already on every damn game board and place on the Net. Games ending and twists ruined by the first people who finished it not wanting others to get the same enjoyment out of it. You could happily tell someone what happens at the end of Walking Dead and you would still want to play through all of it to see what happens to the other characters and how it goes.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

That's a feature that Heavy Rain has over The Walking Dead and makes it feel more realistic and emotionally connected to you... BUT that does not make it a superior game. Opinions are opinions but I enjoyed The Walking Dead much more than Heavy Rain and actually cared about the characters/what happened to them.

Agree, I loved Heavy Rain, the first game that I ever platined, so awesome.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

walking dead's story >>>>>>>>>>>>> heavy rains
which is the most important to these games in fact there are people out there who don't count either of them as games but instead more of a interactive and seeing the amount of playstastion things you have on your icon your clearly the worst one of those people who worship sony has a god

people worship companies/consoles because of the games/features, not the other way around.

you clearky haven't seen the amount of people who worship kaz on this site

I think it's a crime that The Walking Dead was showered with awards while Virtue's Last Reward was swept under the rug like it didn't even exist. Not surprised though, an "indie" game about zombies with brand popularity behind it.

Gaming journalists were praised for giving GOTY to The Walking Dead instead of one of the more "mainstream" releases, but that game was about as mainstream as it got last year. It was almost as boring as watching Skyrim sweep all the GOTYs in 2011.

well that is completely in a humorous sense...or at least i hope so.  That thread with all the gifs was the best thing I've seen on this site just cause it was so over the top hilarious.

Did Kaz make Heavy Rain? No, Cage did. I think you're thinking too much into things.
