I don't think they paid 4m/30 seconds for airing it on the stream. It was for sure MUCH cheaper.

Well, damn. I was hoping to see it on my HDTV. Which I guess I can through Youtube, but it would have added an extra layer of epic knowing that tens of millions of people were also watching it at the same time.

To use any money on super bowl online stream was probably waste of money. It's like preaching to the choir. That crowd already know about God of War. Sony needed to advertise to the mainstream audience to expand the audience.
