The Wii U better be the best version. It is the next-gen system.

And when I watched a video for the 3DS one I noticed it had FPS drops.

Isn't it strange that there's only one video of this gameplay on the 3DS? And how did this person get it?

edit: I went back to the video and saw how the guy got it.  So strange how it doesn't seem like anyone else has been able to do it yet?

I gave this game an 8.5 for Consolexp.com and absolutely loved it. Surprised to see not many others did in this thread.

I dont regret buying it cause i loved the music and classic SEGA referances, but its definitly a game i will resell.
The horribly tuned difficulty and the lack of online play in the Xbox cause i refuse to buy gold sub dont leave much room for replayability.

Glad that the 3DS version actually has good fps contrary to the initial video seemed to show. Theres an avid crowed of kart racing fans that had their fill with Mario and would like something fresh. If only SEGA would patch that AI and difficulty though, it would be so much better.

Yeah, Sega did say that the AI was a problem before this game was release on any system.

But Sega also said that the 3DS Version will work fine when it comes to such things as frame rate & AI.

It seems that Sega only cares about the 3DS version of this game.......maybe.

If thats the case, the 3DS version is worth picking up. Also, its a nice extra to have it on 3D.

No offense to the OP or anyone else in this topic, but look at what games he's playing, his sig, etc. Anything he says about the 3DS version of the game I'd take with a grain of salt. The uploader of the video has apparently admitted before the FPS isn't so hot in the 3DS version.

According to the guy who uploaded the video, the framerate doesn't suffer at all when put in 3D (though he says that the framerate is a problem when you first boot it up, but it gets better as you play it longer)

I like it more than any Mario Kart after DS. :X

If I get it in the future, I'll more than likely get it on PC.

At what frame rate does your PC play Sumo engine games at?

Anything more then 60 fps is a logical reason to choose PC over 3DS for frame rate reasons.

I wouldnt be able to tell you since I've never played any of the games developed by them.

But I assume its playable from this source:

http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=4693&game=Sonic+and+All-Stars+Racing+Transformed&p_make=AMD&p_deriv=Athlon+II+X4+630&gc_make=ATI&gc_deriv=Radeon+HD+7850+Gigabyte+OC+Edition&ram=6&checkSubmit=#systemRequirements

Using HD Radeon 7850 2GB OC gfx card and so far have played all recent games at 55-60 FPS on high settings except for Darksiders which I was getting 80-90 FPS.

So, so far you have only played 1 game at beyond 60 fps.

Well I would be curious at the frame rate you get with Sumo, once you play this on your PC.

What's the maximum fps your computer can do in frame rate?

I know this one Chinese dude who has an AlienWare computer that does up to 1,000 fps.

Maybe his battery was low and he plugged in the power later. I notice that he only had 2 bars of energy when he started playing. Its possible.
