No one is waging war....against anyone....its just a forum sig showing two popular figures as comedy relief. I for one have Nintendo and Sony systems under my TV/monitor and soon will have a Microsoft system (well technically a PC already...but still xD).

 

Now if the sig had said "Nintendo sucks Sony rulez", then it would be a problem but it doesnt have that nor does it signify that.

You and I can see it as comedic relief. But will everyone? More so with the advent of a new generation on it's way, that tends to create pretty volitile ground (remember 7th gen start? >.< ). Just as a precaution imo it's best to avoid such sigs that show any sort of corporate superiority. It's not hard to imagine someone with such sigs making a valid point in a thread to do with a company and someone replying along the lines of "Well no *** you're a fanboy look at your sig". Now i'm certainly not saying that the latter statement has any truth in it, but just demonstrating how quickly a thread could turn to poop with such sigs. And no one likes poop.

If the moderators/owners of the site deem it to be necessary, let them enforce it - I wouldnt mind one way or another. It doesnt offend me and imo shouldnt offend gamers unless they for some reason are REALLY into the companies as much as the actual games lol...

Oh I agree completely - the sooner that the notion of a favourite company is eradicated from gaming, the better gaming will become in my opinion.
