So I was in class today and some girl said that Germans do not have any national pride, and I thought they did since the reunification. So I was wondering if you guys could state the country or countries that you lived in for a while and tell me if you have any national pride with each nation. Also any observations on what the general consensus is would be great.

As for me, I live in the US I do not have any national pride at all. I would rather all countries be one, if we were to meet an extraterrestrial race I am not sure I would even side with Earth. Just on the side who I think is more right or just. As for my observations, It seems like old people and people who have been in wars have a lot of national pride. Young people barely have any.

I like my country (US) but I don't think I have national pride for it. So many things I disagree with.

I live in Canada but I do have some national pride towards Italy, where my parents (and entire ancestry) come from. Basically I have pride for the land of my origin...it is always good to respect where you came from.

As for Canada, I recognize it as an amazing country to grow up and live a long life in, but that's different then national pride, for which I have little.

Youth don't care, but the more you grow up the more you see things in a different light.

im in the US.. i have national pride for the founders intent. Bill of Rights, Constitution(restriction or power), Congress a body of representatives holds the most power.

but congress has given up its power to the bank, the presidents dont obey the constitution. Public School has made our ppl indoctrinated into thinking the Federal Govt is all powerful.

but yes i hold on to the pride of a time when there was no federal tax, no invasion of our lifes, just freedom for all land owners. I wish today, all land owners were free from govt.

I like my country (geography, traditions, customs), I hate my countrymen. Do I have national pride? Since I want to get as far as possible away from here... I think that very vividly answers the question.
