isn't it depressing to feel that life has no purpose?

Perhaps. But I would rather listen to those feelings than live in denial.

how can you know if you aren't living in denial now?

I could ask you the same thing.

Edit: Or was that a general question? In that case I guess the answer is that if you listen to your feelings rather than suppress them, you do not live in denial.

but if I do and you do who is correct and who is in denial? who decides?

I have proof of what I beleive in at least

Please, share with us your proof. This should be interesting, especially since even theists agree that there's no proof for many Religious concepts; they say faith is involved. So what is your non-faith objective proof?

it's simple really nothing can exist by "accident"

Except God though, right? And not just any God, but an all-powerful, all-loving, all-knowing, spaceless, timeless, and perfect God, right? That's the only exception to your rule? He can exist by "accident"?

I didn't say life isn't meaningful in fact it is the very thing that decides what happens to you when you die that's why it is important to make the right choices in life

what you get in the after life is what you sow in life you know you reap what you sow

what you get is eternal life (the second life) where there are no more tests and you can do whatever you want with no more "tests" as a reward

But you would still be "just existing". And you said "just existing" is meaningless. So what is it about an afterlife that makes it more than "just existing"? Other than lasting forever, I don't see what makes it so much more special than a limited life.

sure you do but one existence is a test while the other is a reward/punishment

what's more special about the after life that you can have whatever you desire, no worries, no problems nothing negative at all. if you don't find that better than life than I don't know what is

God didn't come to existence as he has always existed.

It's depressing to not be 100% sure that life is purposeless , If I could be sure then life would a lot easier, and I'd just end it . But there is always a chance that Islam is right and killing myself would send me to hell for eternity lol

That question makes no sense. If you believe deep down that God exist while I don't and none of us live a life where we suppress those feelings, then none of us live in denial. Whichever is true doesn't matter.

As for your "proof"... Well, that's another topic.

to always look on the bright side of it
