It isn't bad news for anyone. Everyone knows the new consoles are arriving soon. This is no "news" at all. It's only good for us gamers that we'll finally see some concrete stuff about the next gen. Can't wait for it.

I thought that the PS3 was future proof?

I still don't know exactly what that meant. Why does anyone need a PS4?

yep ps4 is def taking away Nintendo's thunder, lol j/k. Playable 3D Mario and Mario Kart with Smash Bros being shown off. possible that Retro's game will be there and more from Monoliths X. Thats not even mentioning smaller devs or 3rd party. yeah WiiU will be just fine

If Nintendo plays their cards right they can steal Sony's thunder. What i think they should do if they have a Megaton-like title just waiting to be announced and actually hold a Nintendo Direct on the 20th an hour before Sony's announcement

I'm sorry, but do expected games really attract much attention? Answer: No. What next-gen is always about, and what gets people excited is all the new things we'll see. New IPs, new tech, new features etc. As far as new IPs go, Sony always has them in spades. That's the reason it will attract more attention.

Do you honestly think that new IPs that no one has ever heard of will attract more attention than a new Mario Kart or Smash Bros.? If so, explain to me why you think that this is true.
