Yeah, it's a really solid game. Leagues better than the previous one. Fans are still pissed about the changes the developers made, while I can understand the frustration early on they should really just get over it.

I loved it and can't wait for a 2nd game. I would have gone for the platinum but hell and heaven difficulty just sounds way to hard.

I think people are missing the point. DMC fans never cared about DmC being good as either way it was not going to change their opinion. DmC is not want the fanbase wanted. Lets pretend Resident Evil 6 was a universally great game. Do you think that would changed the core opinion about RE moving farther and farther away from its survival horror roots?...No. DmC is not a bad game but I can definitely see why the core wouldn't be interested.

Though I understand your point about the fans who are upset cause of the hair change, if you honestly hate a game, good or not, you more than likely aren't going to play all the way through it.

At least I never do if I hate the game form the beginning.

Except DmC hasnt moved away from its core roots. Resident evil went from a survival Horror game to a 3rd person shooter pretty much.

DmC is still a Hack and Slash game just like the older ones. The only thing thats changed imo is it now has more better floid gameplay, Better acted story and story line and the main character has changed his hair and style a bit.

Do you think the so called fans are right to be giving this game 0 scores etc on sites like metacritic etc and trying to turn people away from such a great game just cos they dont agree with how the style of the main character has changed??. Mostly when they have not even giving the game a chance to begain with??.


Im not saying DMC moved away from its roots. That was just an example of the turmoi lin the RE fanbase. Your simplifying reasons for DmC hate. its not just about appearance. They waited 4 years(?) for next DMC game and for it to completely differrent than what was expected has understandable no matter how dumb they act on Meta.

I 100% agree with this thread.

Im a long time fan of the series and DMC is hands down my favorite title in the franchise.

Excellent combat, great voice work, and a solid storyline. Not to mention the last boss fight is pure EPIC

I'll eventually play this, but I'll just say.....I'd much rather trust the opinions of people I know have invested 1,000s of hours in the series than a major review site.

The OP is clearly just creating a caricature of the criticisms people have about DmC.
