I didn't really think I would get it, as it didn't really effect me to severely.  Just got stuck or something, I hardly remember and thought it was my parents internet (lol).  I was playing Kinect Disneyland Adventures with their Grandkids, nothing too serious.

Just for kicks I logged in today to check my expiration, and viola! and extra month of Xbox Live has been added to my account.  I know it doesn't seem like much, but I haven't won any lotteries lately so I'm going to be as happy as a cupcake. I think I was lucky as I counted for a 'free month' of Xbox Live as I wasn't devistated it (unlike many with the Netflix shut down.)

I wanted to update everyone that the Xbox LIVE Cloud Saved Games feature is back online. The Xbox Operations team has been working around the clock to get the issues resolved. I also wanted to pass along the below note from Alex Garden and let you know what we’re doing for those that were affected by the issue.

We want to thank all of our Xbox LIVE members impacted by the Cloud Saved Games service issue for your patience and understanding. It took longer than we expected to get back to full performance as we needed to ensure the integrity of everyone’s game saves. Whether you couldn’t access your game saves for a couple of hours or a couple of days, we sincerely apologize for the delay and inconvenience. We will be automatically applying a one-month extension to the Xbox LIVE Gold memberships of everyone who was impacted. We can assure you we’ll also be doing a thorough post mortem to help prevent this from happening again.

How do they know if you were impacted?

If you access the cloud save feature and it didn't work.

I also got a not from Xbox Live today too. 

No, but I got a free month when my Halo 4 Xbox came back from repair.

Awesome. I'm trying to lay off gold though. Too much work load

I guess getting a month of free XBL would be great......if I didn't already plan on having Xbox Live until I died. I mean, they give you a free month just for signing up so, it's not like it's a big deal.
