From what I know Sony Cambridge has the rights.

Of course Sony has the rights, they asked them to make the game. If you look at all of Sonys games you will noticed all the companies they bring into first party with them have a story based cinematic immersive style to their gameplay.

I really doubt it. DmC sold more than like 5x as much as heavenly sword first week not even counting PC sales. The sales would have to absolutely crash. Enslaved sold less FW than Heavenly sword.
I do want HS2 because it's story and characters I actually like more than any hack and slash. I like DmC a lot, and Heavenly sword was pretty good but a bit unpolished with horrible framerate.

well, since no game has been announced or even hinted at, how is that? The IP is owned by Sony, they could assign it to any one of their studios.

Don't get me wrong, Heavenly Sword was amazing. The best part was the presentation (facial animations), but Enslaved had better gameplay and arguably a better story.

huh, looks like I missed that news story. Anyway, looks like the game was cancelled pretty early in development and a long time ago (back in 2008). So I would say it is pretty safe to say that sony cambridge wouldn't be any more likely to develop it than any other sony internal studio...
Great game, played it when it first came out and promised myself if I ever bought a PS3 this is a must get!
