Forums - Sony - FIFA 13 sells 12 million, beats FIFA 12 by 23 per cent

$100 million digital net revenue represents 98 per cent increase over last year

FIFA 13 sold more than 12 million copies during EA's third quarter of fiscal 2013, the publisher has announced.EA notes that this represents a 23 per cent increase versus FIFA 12 sales in the same period (October 1 - December 31) last year.

Having launched on September 25 in US and Sept. 28 in UK, that figure won't include much of the 4.5 million copies reportedly sold in its first five days on sale - it sold 1.23 million copies within its first 48 hours of shelf time in UK alone.

FIFA 13 digital net revenue topped $100 million in the quarter, said EA, which accounts for a 98 per cent increase over FIFA 12 in the prior year.

23% up when PS360 sales are 20% down YoY.

Impressive.

off topic but I don't get the low sales for the PS1 and PS2 games prior to 2006 on vgc, the franchise was immense popular back then aswel. For example Fifa 2001 has 320k for PS1, it should be in the millions.

All the old consoles have bad tracking sales here.

OP. Congrats FIFA... this franchise is becoming bigger and bigger every year.

+ PES dominated in the PS2 days, not Fifa.

I'd rather see 0 sales than low sales. Fifa was the game everyone was playing back in PS1 days here. Tekken and Ocarina of Time are at more than 7m, Fifa should be close.

Yes but FIFA never have low sales even in PS2 days.

FIFA Soccer 06 sold 3.93 million only in PS2.

Id like to see platform breakdown.

FIFA gets better with every release. People like to say that its a milked franchise, but the improvements are clear to anyone who actually buys the games. If they fix the server problems then it could push even bigger numbers.
