Anyway, on other matters.
Anyone else liked-loved BotW story?

I tend to like Zelda stories, but BotW was fantastic.
Awakening in a ruined world after Link and Zelda failures reminded me of the adult part of Ocarina of Time.

Don't know anyone else, but I believe the story will fit great on a tv series or even a film, with the climax being the awakening of the Calamity Ganon, guardians destroying Hyrule and the divine beasts attacking their own masters.

And the ending will be sad but perfect with Link in the the Chamber of Resurrection while Zelda awaits on the castle fighting the calamity.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Coincidentally I watched a youtube video of all the memories (including the DLC ones) and the full ending in order, and it actually makes for a cool short film sort of thing. People say the story is lacking, but really it's just that it doesn't seem much during a 100/200 hour game. If you watch everything in one go, it's actually pretty good.

Yeah, I loved the story. It was bittersweet and nostalgic, and above all else wistful. There is a pervasive sense of loss and regret in the game.

Best of all, you can absorb the story at your leisure; it's not at all intrusive.

I'm the only 400+?.... you guys are missing out. Truth be told, I picked this game up a week ago and remembered why it's so addicting: one of the best games ever made.

By the way... I do not own the DLC nor do I plan on ever buying it.

Been trying to say something to this effect ever since I first played it. Wonderful game, wonderful story, but sparse compared to the sheer volume of content contained within it.

Second favorite Zelda next only to Link to the Past, and let's be honest: LTTP is only my favorite because nostalgia.

This reflects my feelings as well with regards to the story.  The writing itself I feel is the best it's ever been.  I think it's brought down by two things:

First, there's not enough of it.  2 more memory cutscenes per champion would have helped a lot, plus aome added bells and whistles for the present day story.

Second, not putting in the production value for the present day cutscenes. Imo, all the important cutscenes shluld have been custom animated and voiced, just like the memories.

Wtf, seriously this game, that Smash style foot stool as well...

Lol, it's funny that Lizalfoss actually can't see under their big chins. Or that enemies actually get mad when their food freezes all of a sudden.

The attention to detail in this game is amazing. New things will keep being discovered for a long time I imagine.

The story that the world tells in many different ways.

There’s little bits and pieces that tell the smaller stories - such as the role Shrines play in the local cultures, the stuff going on with the wildlife. The very scars of the world tell massive stories as well; you hear details of the great battle in Necluda, but you can deduce so much by riding through the region in front of the border at Fort Hateno, exploring the ruin that took place on one side of the wall, and then the calm/untouched woodlands on the Hateno side. I remember riding on horse to that region for the first time, it seemed like such a long journey to get there, and then seeing it all first hand... I felt like some kind of archaeologist figuring out what took place here. Then through the memories, got confirmation and clarification.

As an RPG fanatic, I really appreciate such detail.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Check out some of this cool Zelda art, inspired by WWII propaganda:
