What are yours??? I love listening to soundtracks after I finish a good game to relive the experience and journey I had during my first play through. It helps that I played Violin in my school's orchestra for 6 years, so I have aquired a love for the orchestra scores. With that said, a lot of my friends would rather listen to mainstream pop while playing the same games, which pisses me off lol....
But anyway list some of your favorite video game soundtracks/scores, either recent or older, and then list a reason or two of why you loved that certain one. Did it make you feel like you were playing a certain part of that game again? Or did it just sound epic?

Jesper Kyd: Darksiders 2 soundtrack (both parts) - Love the multifacited approach Jesper took with this one. First half caters to the Makers lands, while the second half's theme takes place in the Land of the Dead. Very versitile soundtrack with various sounds that journey through the entire game.
The Makers Theme, Into Eternity, The Corruption (can't decide so gonna have 2 favorites for Darksiders lol), The eternal Throne, Plains of Death
Jesper Kyd: Assassin's Creed 2 soundtrack - Has a very mysterious and and Renaissance-y feeling to it, yet mixed with modern drums and bass. This one really hit home with me because of how epic Assassin's Creed 2 was. Although the soundtrack for 3 might be a bit better, AC2's felt more epic and gave me more chills.
Earth, Venice Rooftops/Escape, Flight over Venice 2, Leonardo's inventions part 2
Lorne Balfe: Assassin's Creed 3 soundtrack - Captured the tone of the game perfectly. Had a more "American" style of sound compared to the AC2 soundtrack that made it felt more modern and exciting.
Main theme, Through the Frontier, Fight club
Austin Wintory: Journey soundtrack - The definition of a unique gaming experience. Probably the only game where I can mute the Tv and have the soundtrack teleport me to another world while playing the game. This really is a special album. Words can't really do it justice, just go download it already.
Nascence, The Road of Trials, Final Confluence, Apotheosis, I was born for this
Was going to talk about the Skyrim soundtrack but I'm done writing for tonight. Anyone else listen to it and care to share???
