I need to do a better explain how the financial results works... I will try to give a example.

- Nintendo posted $50 loss for Q1
- This $50 loss enter in the next Q... so the Q2 already have a dividend of $50 because the last Q
- Then Nintendo post the Q2

It's like a credit card bill (at least in Brazil)... if you didn't pay all the bill then the next moth you receive a new bill added which you have not paid in the previous month.

They is no $450 million profit because you have to pay the loss of the previous quarter... the same happen with profit... if you have profit in a quarter the next quarter have to added this profit in the results.

YUP, just as I thought, nothing but semantics. If you isolate the third quarter, you see $450 million profit. You don't see $300 million magically fall into a black hole to be completely disregarded.

Hence the title 3rd quarter results (Oct-Dec).

Yeah... now I understand what you was saying... that's it the $300m loss have to enter in this quarter too .

I don't see how it factors into an isolated quarter. Hell, Nintendo probably paid off those losses months ago with their billions of dollars in back-up funds.

Do you mind if I put it at the front page?

Nintendoland is tracked at 1,56Mil currently, the game sold over 25% (800k!) digitally? Digital distribution seeems to grow bigger. I wonder how long VGChartz can afford not to track it.

I'm sorry I was just trying to explain you can't remove the lost money from the previous quarters... you have to pay it the next quarters... the $450 million looks more like "revenue" (it's not exactly revenue I can't find other word to explain) than "net income".

This was the first time looking at it for me, so I was a bit confused at first, but then my accounting instincts kicked in! :)

Even if you pay it you have to put it in the quarter results.
