That's a reach. I think they just want to be bought by anyone, so they can continue with their jobs.

You (and many others, it seems) don't seem to understand. Look at the image in the OP again. Then this:

(Also, Vigil is dead. The auction happened a few days ago. No publisher put a cent down on Vigial nor Darksiders. It was a weird, unfortunate event).

I just don't understand how no one picked up this studio or IP... I didn't move MASSIVE numbers, but with the right guidance it could have sold a whole lot more. The potential is there!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

O please Nintendo buy me up. I'd love to see death/war added to the smash brother roster :). Plenty of new moves to add in without seeming like a clone. Not to mention plenty of people who picked up darksider games were not all Zelda fans to, so this may also lead to increased Zelda sales for people whom like adventure style games. This is a perfect way to add another adventure game into the mix, plus Nintendo wanted more western developers.

Hell just let them do a darksiders and then afterwards give them free reign to design something new. Or how about this. buy vigil and contract darksiders out between vigil and platinum games! The people who say they don't need it for whatever reason, I think you are dead wrong. Regardless of what anyone feels or thinks, Nintendo will end up with less 3rd party games; therefore, to counter this why not pick up some studios with decent games and staff(cheap to).

Not to mention vigil worked with wii u dev kits already, so at least they have a plus on the porting side and can start working on a full blown ground up engine for DS3. Nintendo needs to prove there are great mature ish style games on their system and this is a good way to start, plus they gain the respect for saving people's jobs Maybe; a positive spin is always better then another doom article. They already have casuals and teen market locked up, so please for the love of any or all gods please pick this up. Hell I'll start a donation fund to help raise funds If need be :).

Plus maybe just maybe Nintendo will make a infinity or kingdom hearts style game (using the dude from the Nintendo cartoon back in the day, that was sucked into the tv). Then the darksiders realm would be a cool realm to add( I can dream)

It would have been a great idea to buy them if they weren't dead.

The problem is Nintendo has 10+ titles in development.  They simply do not have the manpower to develop and publish this series.  It won't happen.  Nintendo would have to buy the entire studio + the IP.

I didn't play the first one and only just started playing the second one but it would be great if Nintendo (or anyone for that matter) did buy the Darksiders IP just so it doesn't have to die if it's not already too late. Nintendo could benefit from having it so they have a dark and gritty "hardcore" franchise in their portfolio and draw in some hardcore gamers to their system that normally wouldn't have any interest in a Nintendo machine.

What makes you think I(and MANY others) don't understand? So, they made an image that acknowledges that DS is a Zelda rip-off ... how does that make an "invitation" and what would Nintendo want with a 2nd rate Zelda? Nonono, get real. If anyone would want this franchise, it's Sony, as to have an alternative to Zelda on the PS machines.

This is sad to see :(

Oh well, shame to see Vigil go. A missed opportunity for Nintendo to buy another Western developer. Hope either they or Platinum Games manage to get the IP so that we're guaranteed a Wii U SKU. I really like the franchise.

I would guess the subject matter being about the apocalypse and the main characters being part of 4 horse men might lean Nintendo away from this. Not exactly Smash Bros material that.

The fact that the game plays similar to Zelda but none of the games outside of the first came close to selling over a million probably won't win it many in house fans... unless some at Nintendo get the insanely brilliant idea of crossing it over with Kid Icarus.

But either way, Nintendo is unlikely to do it, short of the weird idea of Nintendo buying Platinum Games and the developer requesting it as a personal favor.
